Re: ARM version installed 1.7 x64 version and now it won't run
It seems that the key is to clear the x64 binaries (and probably the ARM64 ones and reinstall).... I can't find a way to do that.... because nothing I'm doing seems to be solving this.

ARM version installed 1.7 x64 version and now it won't run
Description of problem or question: The app was running fine with the binaries for ARM64 on Windows. Then I saw a link for "New version available: 1.7" and I mistakenly hit it to install it. It did install it but it seemed to have installed the x64 version of the binaries and now I'm gett...

Re: Audio issues on iPod Classic when encoding videos
I assume this is the reason..... Due to licensing issues, you couldn't use the Fraunhoffer AAC codec and use some open source variant which is inferior.... https://www.reddit.com/r/handbrake/comments/96vnsu/aac_audio_bad_encoder/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share At least I know now, I gue...

Audio issues on iPod Classic when encoding videos
Description of problem or question: I have videos I encoded last year using 1.2 (and some recently from Blurays I bought with 1.2.2) The video and audio encode OK most of the time on playback. They play fine on the PC. But when I play them back on the iPod Classic 7th gen (2.0.4) using the video ou...

Re: Deinterlaced VHS video - Colors 1 frame delay
This reminds me a lot of the program I used to use many years ago.... VideoRedo. That thing could clean up just about anything I threw at it in terms of frames and things like that.... not sure if it's something to help you here, but they do have a full featured demo usually that lasts 5 days or so....

Re: You guys rock!
Absolutely! Thank you all for all you've done and all you will do. I converted most of BluRays to work on my iPod Classic using 720x480 anamorphic and when I play them on an HDTV, they look very nice. Not only that, but the sizes are very small and smaller than many other encoders. Kudos to you all.

Re: Why does Encoder Tune: Animation cause issues on my iPod Classic?
OK. But you can't sync MP4 to an iPod Classic with B-Frames (I believe that's Main or High profile). The *only* difference I selected was Encoder Tune: Animation. If I set the encoder tune to None, it works just fine. Guess there's something in the encoder tune that goes against what I'm setting in ...

Re: Ipod Classic Conversion for TV
Here are some settings from my log which may help. I've been converting my South Park DVDs and came up with some settings which produce a decent result on the TV. This works better for BluRay sources, since I don't believe those are interlaced like the DVDs are.... but it should work for both: For v...

Why does Encoder Tune: Animation cause issues on my iPod Classic?
I have an iPod Classic which I retrofitted with a large drive (328GB currently w/ room to expand another 800GB) Anyway... I've been putting my DVD TV shows on it so that I can have them and watch them when I travel since the battery life is actually excellent on the device. With music playback and t...
