Multiple instances of Handbrake on Mac Studio
I'm thinking of upgrading from my Mac mini M1 to a Studio at some point, maybe next year to an M3 Studio (either Max or Ultra, haven't decided yet). I was wondering whether with the added CPUs, I could run a couple of Handbrake instances for x265 software 4K encodes (which is what I use handbrake 90...

Queue file location?
Description of problem or question: My existing Mac is encoding 24x7 and I have several hundred jobs queued. I'm about to purchase a new computer and would like to know if it's possible to share the existing queued jobs between the two computers without having to recreate the queue jobs from scratc...

Re: Is this much difference in file size normal?
I know it and I agree, Woodstock. It just struck me as extremely odd that I ended up with a perfectly viewable 1080p movie on a 55" TV with a size of 1GB. Although I use Handbrake for years, I mainly stick to the presets (with minor changes), so I don't really have the experience you guys have ...

Re: Is this much difference in file size normal?

Is this much difference in file size normal?
Description of problem or question: The size of my 3000+ movie library collection got the better of me so I decided to experiment with other presets in order to find a better balance between acceptable movie quality and smaller size. I used to transcode 1080p Remux movies to H.265 using the values ...

Re: Help with Optimal H.265 1080p settings
Thank you for your answer Woodstock. Let me rephrase then my original question; given that my goal is to remain true to keeping a good picture quality (not being able to discern differences from a normal viewing distance between the original source and the encoded H.265 1080p file), are there glarin...
