Re: Colour of the Burn In Subtitles
Sorry Fraludio I wasn't here for some time to answer your question: I know that, but the SRT and many other formats can easily be extracted and used or edited using e.g. excellent free program called Subtitle Edit. You cannot do it easily with the burn in subs since they are an integral part of the ...

Re: Colour of the Burn In Subtitles
Depends on what format the subtitles are in to begin with. Sorry Rodeo, I have forgotten to mention that it would be the common SubRip (.srt) type which of course the HandBrake converts to the Advanced Sub Station Alpha (.ass). I have found that in the Subtitle Edit the colour for ASS/SSA can be se...

Re: How long does it take you guys to compress this 5 minute video? (with the configuration of the images)
Hi you might no longer be interested... But still here are my results - a complete log file: As you can see I converted it to HEVC using NVENC - the video card encoders. It took 27 secs. I can send you the resulting video if you want - let me know HandBrake 1.5.1 (2022011000) OS: Microsoft Windows N...

File naming (automatic) does not change according to the new preset
Description of problem or question: Hi everybody interested - I have this little problem - otherwise the Handbrake rules!!! When I open a file to process, the naming in which I like to also specify the {quality_bitrate}, proceeds in accordance with the bitrate set in my default Preset. However, if ...

OK, it's already 3 days here but nobody is answering my question... Addeng the Global Tag file
Using e.g. the MKVToolNix a Global Tag xml file can be added to the Matroska container.
I was wondering, is it possible to include this Global Tag file in the HandBrake transcoding? How to do it?

Re: .tts subtitles
You need to extract the sub file from the tts container to be able to do something with it. I'm not sure what to use, since I don't have any tts files to test them but try to demux it using the tsMuxeR, which is a freeware and portable, so you don't even have to install it. Also supposedly the tts f...

Re: About Upscaling
I was waiting 1 month for some answer... However, I actually understand why you did not answer: Because I'm right and you would have to agree that the feature should be available for everybody, not only for the those who are familiar with the CLI. Or, if I'm not right, then why do you have it there ...

Re: View original bitrates of a video file?
You need to know the details about the original video file you gonna process in the HandBrake? Download an excellent freeware utility called MediaInfo. Re: Handbrake and NVenc - best preconfigured settings
Don't waste your time. I tested it hoping for reasonable results, I actually bought the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti card because of this NVEnc bull..., but comparing the resulting quality I have found that I don't have any use for it.

Re: About Upscaling
Thanks mduell. Perhaps I'm wrong but here is my example: PAL DVD standard is 720x576 which is 5:4, but many old movies used to be 4:3. So if I try to convert such a DVD to the original 4:3 aspect ratio I need to stretch it to 768x576, which you guys don't want me to do, or decrease the height from 5...

Re: About Upscaling
Thanks JohnAStebbins – sometimes there are cases when I use the upscaling. When I use it I can see instantly in the preview what is happening with the picture, how it is stretched, the ratio can be measured on the screen, something which I doubt could be done with the CLI. Fortunately I have the nig...
