Re: Encoding issues: encoding ends after 2 seconds
I understand. I typically watch on an Apple TV. Sometimes Roku. Using Plex or iTunes.(Apple TV). Good 5.1 surround.

Re: Encoding issues: encoding ends after 2 seconds
Ok, settle down. Not accusing. I'm new to this and just thought the quality looked low. It's likely due to the wrong HB preset now that I understand better what each application does. You seem very experienced. What HB presets do you recommend?

Re: Encoding issues: encoding ends after 2 seconds
OK. I tried that using the usual settings I use for discs with HB and the quality seems off. I will keep playing around. Thanks for your help!

Re: Encoding issues: encoding ends after 2 seconds
It appears MakeMKV worked for this disc. I will try it with another "problem disc". i do feel the quality is greatly reduced with MakeMKV and I didn't notice any settings for video quality. Maybe in a future release?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Encoding issues: encoding ends after 2 seconds
I guess I just didn't understand the previous response. So there are some movies that just won't work with HB no matter what I do? I need to use MakeMKV? I will look for the beta key. I just ripped the disc to an ISO file using anydvd and then tried to render with HB and it did the same thing. Will ...

Re: Encoding issues: encoding ends after 2 seconds
I still see this issue pop up from time to time. Using most current AnyDVD version running in the background. usually discs encode fine with handbrake, but then I will run into one like "Rock Dog" (kids movie). It flies through pass 1 and 2 in 2 seconds. As with those mentioned above, I ma...

Re: Encoding issues: encoding ends after 2 seconds
I seems to be. Handbreak shows the length of the main title at 1:46. I was able to rip to the HD using AnyDVD. Then use CloneDVD to burn it to a DVD blank. I prefer to archive my discs digitally on the hard and not on disc. So I would love to solve the handbrake issue. Keep in mind this is the third...

Re: Encoding issues: encoding ends after 2 seconds
I have AnyDVD HD v 8.0.9.0 running. That should handle the protection, right?

Encoding issues: encoding ends after 2 seconds
Certina discs fail with no know reason and without a fail message. handbrake rapidly moves through pass 1 and pass 2 and considers encoding complete after 1-2 seconds of work. Some discs encode fine, some do not Windows 10. Handbrake v. 1.0.2 - 64bit no exception or error message. here is the log: ...
