OK, so that didn't work. I still get non-smooth video playback under the stock ATV2. On my computer or via XBMC on the ATV2 it plays back fine (just as in previous tests). So any other ideas for replicating via Handbrake a similar recording quality as that used by the iPhone 4S 1080p video recording...

Just checking back into this thread. So based on those two links, does that mean that I should be able to take the ATV2 preset, change the picture width from 1280 to 1920, and then add the following advanced settings:
