REQ: Please add Subtitle title field/trackname

Please describe what you would like to see added to HandBrake: A subtitle title field/trackname field, I've found one thread asking the same but this was posted over 3 years ago. Why would you like to see this added: I often encode tv-series episodes from collection dvd's. With some series there is...

Re: Manipulate queue entries on fresh start (no file scanned)

The edit queue button isn't disabled. It's just a "dark grey" icon. (The others are only in colour as we don't have dark/light grey alternatives right now). Clicking the document icon sends it back to the main window, rescans and repopulates all the fields. I just tried but when I start H...

Re: Question: What would be the preferred x265 preset when recoding a x264 file?

That's an impossible choice. Quality and speed will never ever go hand in hand together. If I want speed than I am forced to forego on quality and the other way around I will have to accept a hefty reduction of speed. Size doesn't even come into the equation when comparing x265 to x264 I suspect, be...

Re: Question: What would be the preferred x265 preset when recoding a x264 file?

I understand I'll always lose some quality, I just want to know which will give the least amount of acceptable loss without the encoding time going up to half a day for a single 40 minute episode. I've already tried various presets to compare them to the x264 version but to my untrained eye I only c...

Question: What would be the preferred x265 preset when recoding a x264 file?

I'm not familiar enough with recoding video files in general so I'm not sure what would be the preferred x265 preset to get the same quality when recoding a x264 file and no original source file exists. I assume that the slowest preset, or perhaps even placebo, would give the same quality without fu...

Re: Manipulate queue entries on fresh start (no file scanned)

It's doing the same thing. When you load back to the queue, is basically re-opens the file so it has all the state and raw preview data back again. (We don't keep it in memory as it can take up a large amount of data if your batch scanning stuff. (I.e More than what a lot of our users have in terms...

Re: Collapsed preset list instead of open preset list

+1 from me. I would however prefer it if it just remembered the state it is in. While the previous poster prefers to have quick access to his/her user-presets, others may like to have another section expanded. The list does stay in the state you selected during an encoding session/queue processing b...

Re: Manipulate queue entries on fresh start (no file scanned)

That is too bad. Just for curiosity sake, what's the difference between loading a file back from the queue via the page icon vs using "Open Source"? When I do the first I see the exact same behavior as when using Open Source (with regards to how the UI behaves). That's what caused me to as...

Manipulate queue entries on fresh start (no file scanned)

Please describe what you would like to see added to HandBrake: The ability to alter/manipulate queue entries on fresh start before a file is scanned. Why would you like to see this added: Currently if I import a queue file on fresh start of HandBrake, I can only start the encoding. I cannot manipul...
