Re: 10bit Encoding support on Kaby Lake

@BradleyS, my bad! I was indeed asking about QSV support for Mac (as it is supported with the latests mbps and MacOS High Sierra)

Can you add 10bit Encoding support on Kaby Lake for the Mac?

Re: Default Subtitles behavior

No, I think the default behaviour should have nothing selected.

Default Subtitles behavior

Hi,

I think it would be a nice idea to have a default setting where nothing is selected when you choose to add subtitles. As compared to how it is now, where "burned in" is selected by default.

Re: x265 10bit library

Quick other question, when compiling both nightlies together, x265's library does not provide version ("Writing library : x265 0.0:[Mac OS X][clang 8.0.0][64 bit] 10bit"). Any idea where and how to configure that? I've had a look at module.defs but no luck there.

Re: x265 10bit library

Thanks Ritsuka for your answer. It was a little tricky but I was able to compile Handbrake with embedded x265 nightly.

x265 10bit library

I'm using Handbrake nightly with my own encoded x265 10bit from https://bitbucket.org/multicoreware/x265/wiki/Home
It works fine if I use the 2.1 source tarball, but Handbrake crashes (seg fault 11) if I try to compile the nightly library source using hg clone.
Any ideas why?

10bit / 12bit x265 Mac LIbrary

I've compiled a 10bit / 12bit x265 Mac LIbrary to use with Handbrake's nightly. You can download it here:

To use, simply drop it in /usr/local/lib/ then choose 10 or 12bit in video encoder option in Handbrake.
