Re: [Fixed] Advanced Settings Tab in WinGUI still has some problems
Please describe the problem in as much detail as possible: I reported part of this before, but can't find the post- Checking to "Use Advanced Tab Instead" in Video Tab isn't sticking between sessions. (App starts up with it checked, but the Advanced Tab isn't enabled- Unchecking and check...

Re: AAC stereo track sounds a bit crap.
Edit: Forget what I wrote previously, if anyone actually read it, I figured out what was wrong.

Re: AAC stereo track sounds a bit crap.
Ah, well I'll give it a go. I'm no stranger to running blind when it comes to programming and similar pursuits and I've got nothing but time on my hands over December anyway, so might as well try it. I won't hold my breath though; and if it doesn't work I'll just install Linux on a virtual machine o...

Re: AAC stereo track sounds a bit crap.
Yes, good point, I shall do that.
I've never used linux before, but apparently this windows 10 anniversary update I've got has a ubuntu linux bash shell in it now. Can I use that to build hb.dll?

Re: What would be the best deinterlace/detelecine and frame rate setting for a 1080i > 1080p?
I see, yes I suspected I'd probably wind up needing custom values to get it to filter properly, one of the reasons I posted here in fact. Though I got somewhat lost when I was trying to figure out all the technical aspects of it all. I didn't get around to using Avisynth as I decided to put it all o...

Re: AAC stereo track sounds a bit crap.
Oh, that's a bummer. I guess I'll be building my own "[Censored] the GPL" version of Handbrake 10.5 then in that case to potentially solve this problem. Thanks for putting me onto that info.

AAC stereo track sounds a bit crap.
I'm converting mostly blu ray rips for use on two Apple Tvs (a first generation and a 4th generation), obviously the first gen ATV only supports 720p video and the 4th gen supports 1080p so I've been encoding two files and using tags to link them as the same file in iTunes. This works quite well and...

Re: What would be the best deinterlace/detelecine and frame rate setting for a 1080i > 1080p?
Thanks for the explanation. So, not looking too good then putting it mildly. I've been Googling in the mean time and it would appear as though I'm one of just a plethora of people over the last decade that have fallen foul of a company called "2entertain", whom apparently like to save them...

What would be the best deinterlace/detelecine and frame rate setting for a 1080i > 1080p?
Hello. I'm new to handbrake, and currently using the latest stable version 0.10.5. Though I mostly just handle progressive video with it so until now I haven't touched the filters and such, today I've come across a source video that is 1080i and would like to transcode it to 1080p. It's a Blu-ray ri...
