Re: Select up to ...
If you wish only to change the container from mkv to mp4 without recode the content, handbrake is not the tool to do this. Take a look for "remux"...

Re: unlock the Width & Height
OK - Upscaling seems to be the wrong terminus. In my case I only want to get rid of the anamorphic material. As an example - dvb-s sends mpeg-2 in width 720 pix by hight 576 pix 16:9 and I want convert it to square pixels mp4. The best way to achieve this with a minimum of loss is an recoding to 102...

Re: unlock the Width & Height
Yes, you are right. The "problem" is, that some people don´t want an anamorphic output, they want an output of 16:9 that was sent in anamorphic. On some Sat Receiver channels the Source is 544 x 576 pixel anamorphic 16:9 and they want to transcode it for their Collection to 720 x 404 oder ...

Re: unlock the Width & Height
It seem that you have the same "Problem" I have on some Files. The Handbreak GUI does not allow to scale up so I think you typed in a value bigger than the x or y dimension of the source material. I asked the same question and got the answer that the command line handbrake can do what I th...

Re: HandBrake 0.10.3 Discussion Thread
Thanks for the advice... The resulting Handbrake GUI can run on osx 10.7 upwards but can not compiled on osx prior 10.10 ?!
I think that is a bit more conservative Prerequisites would be better...

Re: HandBrake 0.10.3 Discussion Thread
Is it intended that 0.10.3 does not compile on mac osx 10.9.5 with xcode Version 6.2 (6C131e)?
The previous 0.10.2 makes no trouble... Any advice how to fix this?

Re: scale up
Excuse me - CLI ? Do you mean Client? Or should I try ffmpeg?
I thought it is only an "error" of the gui of handbrake that prohibits the upscaling by prohibiting an bigger value for x than x of the source.

scale up
It would be nice if the program makes it possible not only to scale down but also to scale up. As an example: The source material has a resolution of 544 pix by 576 pix with a disply aspect ration of 16:9 With the actual handbreak it is only possible to transcode it to 544 x 308 pixel with marked &q...
