After a couple of tries, seems like it was the Detelecine filter doing the crashing

Same issue, it just crashes sooner. I was using the same settings on 1.0.3 with no issues.

I'm having a very similar crash on versions 1.0.2 and 1.0.7.

Wow, forgot all about this. MakeMKV rips them into the .mkv file. Most of the Blu-ray's I've ripped have subtitles that are .sup format.

Definitely not happening for me in 0.10.3, however this may depend on your source. Are your subs directly from the DVD or Blu-ray? Or are you using some other source? As a semi-related issues, I've noticed that from 10.3 and up into the nightlies, source subtitles are being burned in even if no subs are added via the subtitles tab.
