So you try to save a new file, with the same name as the source file, then wonder why there's a problem? Even after you were warned?
This has got to be a joke right?

Re: Incorrect Framerate in Summary Tab
Your source looks like it's FPS has been detected fine.
The Summary is showing you the selected output FPS, depending on preset. That's output, not input.

Problem scaling when both QSV encoder/decoder set.
Description of problem or question: I couldn't see this problem discussed elsewhere and I'm not sure if it's a bug or known issue... Re-encoding a one minute 1080p sample I have doesn't down-scale when both intel QSV encoders/decoders are enabled. Using x264 with the "--enable-qsv-decoding&quo...

Can I suggest you try again using the new version and actually post an encode log using the gmail preset. Don't change any settings.

Re: iTunes converting my m4V to MPEG?
I know the problem is appearing when you add/import to iTunes, before it's even had chance to sync to your iPad, however, I can't remember how iTunes deals with this situation, I mean, can't remember if it will try and re-encode or not accept if it doesn't match the criteria for your current device....

Re: Encoding the Oldies - what's your opinion?
Just got Deer Hunter and looking to encode of course. Never seen it, I know, I should be whipped by a 1000 virgins at least a 1,000 lashes! (oh sh*t, sorry! wrong forum ;-)). I can remember my dad coming back from the cinema telling me all about it. so I'll avoid anamorphic (correct me if you think...

Re: VP9 to HEVC re-encoding
Choose any HEVC preset. But as for 'without loosing picture quality' you seem to have just recently came ashore from the clown ship, nice joke. Your request is impossible. Sorry.

You haven't mention Handbrake versions, both old and new. Presets are 'JSON' files. (example: presets.json)

Re: Is it possible MP4 to MKV without reencoding?
I have encoded a bluray to mp4 for plex and playback on roku. Long story short I am looking to change to file from MP4 to MKV. Ouch! Seems you made a mistake there? The reason I want to move to MKV (without reencoding) is to be able to merge a DTSHD/TrueHD file into the MKV. I want the HD lossless ...

Hahahahahaha... "not a native English speaker"? But, but, I wear a grass skirt. Doesn't that make me a native? Regarding "fetchin up", did you do a search for it? My god, I feel like I'm about to enter the 'Twilight Zone'... I don't know what 'grass skirt' means. Nor, did I sear...

Well as I suspected, you're not a native English speaker, that's OK of course. I'd love to know what "Ain't ya got no fetchin up?" means so I can join in the joke.markfilipak wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 2:39 pm What sorta daft humourless bloke are ya? Ain't ya got no fetchin up?

Re: Many subtitle problems
The MP4 standard doesn't allow PGS subtitles in MP4. Tell that to HandBrake. It apparently doesn't know. Well obviously it does because it never gave you any. Hence you original question. Am I missing some thing here? Oh, brother. You are a double face palm. Wow, feels like a weekend with my daught...

Re: Many subtitle problems
Subtitles is driving me nuts. A setup that is exactly the same makes an MKV correctly and with all subtitles. Wow, you've almost answered your own question. If you'd done a little search beforehand you would have found your answer as your problem is probably the 2nd most common question asked, I'm ...

What is your question? Is it this: "I cannot reliably rewind or fast forward. "
