Re: Intel Quick Sync vs. AMD VCE vs. AMD Video Core Next
Satisfactory for each person differs. That is why I asked about clips to HEVC/H.265 using hardware encoders. That way I can decide for myself if hardware encoded HEVC/H.265 files are acceptable. If the differences are trivial between the 3. What level of triviality is it? If the 3 reach a level of t...

Re: Intel Quick Sync vs. AMD VCE vs. AMD Video Core Next
Their has to be an order of the 3 hardware encoders from best to worst. That is what I am asking. The comparison of hardware and software encoders that I asked about is to know how much of a difference between them exists. Not which is the best between software and hardware encoders.

Re: Intel Quick Sync vs. AMD VCE vs. AMD Video Core Next
I want to know which of the hardware encoders is the best at quality, compression and speed. Also, how they compare to the software encoders. HEVC/H.265 can contain more in a smaller space. I were thinking since the previous is true, the hardware encoders should not lose that much quality if the sou...

Intel Quick Sync vs. AMD VCE vs. AMD Video Core Next
Does anyone have any examples, clips or links to other sites that show and speak in detail of the quality and compression of these hardware encoders? I am most interested in the quality, speed and compression of Quick Sync and Video Core Next when encoding to HEVC/H.265 vs. software encoding. I am n...

Re: handbrake 1.0.0.0/x265 2.1 not as fast, does not compress as much as handbrake 0.10.5.0/x265 1.9
i have tested files that take 40 minutes to an hour longer to encode. i have read posts saying not use x265 2.1 in the same way as 1.9. any insight on how i should use it differently? all of the posts i have read about the latest x265 are about optimization. i do not see it in quality or stat wise.

if a list of source files are added that have the same name but, numbered 10 or higher the title drop down list is out of order. example: select a source folder or a selection of source files with 10 or more files with the same name numbered 10 or higher. they will be added to the title drop down li...

Re: Keep Handbrake.exe and CLI.exe separate processes for GUI
i forgot to insert that it were handy for a GUI crash. if the GUI crashes the CLI can complete the encode. that way a user will not have to start an encode over that has been encoding for a long time. the GUI has crashed numerous times while setting parameters and adding jobs to the queue while a jo...

version of HandBrake currently running: 0.10.5 operating system and version currently running: Windows 7 do not roll the CLI process into the GUI/Handbrake.exe process in upcoming versions of handbrake. if they are kept separate, the CLI can complete the encoding process if the GUI crashes. if a use...

it should be corrected now, with a link to a folder named sample dvd, 800MB to 804 MB in size. for some reason google drive does not allow the downloading of folders. you will have to create and name the folders VIDEO_RM VIDEO_TS then place the RM and TS files in their proper folder. and finally cre...
