Re: Process remaining timer anomaly
aahhhhhhh, ok, fair enough, I'm not going to place any more concern on this, it's just a character trait of the program...no failure of the process is resulting from this at all.

Re: Process remaining timer anomaly
I see,
hmmm, would that go hand-in-hand where the the file that is loaded into the program registers a runtime that is actually shorter than what the file actual length is?
I see this quite often where the runtime *duration* displayed is shorter than what the files runtime actually is.

Re: Process remaining timer anomaly
In the attached pic the elapsed timer is still running, in this particular case the elapsed ran for another 12 minutes.55trucker wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 8:37 pm hi there rollin:

Re: Windows op/sys minimum requirements for 1.4
Alright, so it's just a case of the entire program is not installing, if that is what's taking place I won't pursue this any further. I'll have to stay with 1.3, the Handbrake documents page did state that *You will receive a notice that it is not supported when starting the app (twice) after which ...

Re: Windows op/sys minimum requirements for 1.4
Alright, possible issue found..... when comparing the 2 folders where 1.4 & 1.3 would be separately installed.......should BOTH folders be filled to a similar state where the body of what makes up the program is concerned? 1.3 has multiple (1/2 a pages worth)entries of both sub folders & dll...

Re: Windows op/sys minimum requirements for 1.4
*Additional*.......I allowed the program to reach out to Microsoft to look for the Framework program that is required to allow starting & the Microsoft website goes to Framework 5.09, dl it, install it over 5.08 & Handbrake will not start. I get the same message again, it wants to dl the ver...

Re: Windows op/sys minimum requirements for 1.4
Alright,
installed 1.4, both 4.7 & 5.08 (desktop) are in, Handbrake will not start, one gets a message *to run this application you must install .net.....do you want to dl it now?
This issue is similar to what I was experiencing 5 mths ago with the nightly build.

Re: Windows op/sys minimum requirements for 1.4
At the moment I am still using *7*, there are no plans to replace it with *10*. 5 mths ago I tried using one of the nightly builds & could not get it to boot. Seeing as it required both 4.7 & Framework 5 (which were both installed) something was getting in the way of startup, if one went int...

Re: Windows op/sys minimum requirements for 1.4
aaaaaaaaaah, I see, alright, before I do upgrade to this version I came across a few threads where the OP was having issues with 1.4 not booting due to framework, just to be certain where this version is concerned does it still rely on Framework 4.7 as 1.33 does? ...& which version of Framework ...

Re: Windows op/sys minimum requirements for 1.4
That's what I was under the impression of as well, so the exe title would/should be altered to remove any reference to a Windows 32bit system so as to not mislead anyone who dl's it?

Re: Windows op/sys minimum requirements for 1.4
thx for the reply,
I am aware that 1.4 has dropped W7 where support is concerned, but, does this new version support a 32 bit op/sys?
the dl title is x86-x64 WIN gui.exe
I was under the impression that all support for a 32bit op/sys was dropped some time ago.....

The thread NLMEANS denoise filter....seeing as it is long closed can one open another thread on the topic?
