Subtitles can give a bit of a headache I've found. While working with The Avengers the other day I had a similar problem. Once I figured out which sub track I wanted to hard code I clicked on the subtitle tab in Handbrake, then add, select track 3, then tick only the Burned In box, not the Forced On...

I second the idea of using MakeMKV to just rip full quality files if size doesn't matter. The bonus with the MKV file is that you can have tons of audio and subtitle files attached plus the huge, full res movie file and True HD audio.

I had an issue like this the other day. What I had to do was play the MKV file in VLC until I figured out which subtitle track had the "forced" subs that featured the foreign languages. Then I went into Handbrake and added that specific sub track in the Subtitles tab. But the final trick t...
