SOLUTION
Set Handbrake Preference> Advanced>Priority> High
All 20 threads kick it. Transcoder speeds up aprox 8 times. CPU runs at 90C so get a bigger cooler (Mine now is 60-70c)

Cant find HandbrakeCLI.exe in 1.1.0
Just installed 1.1.0 on my Windows 10 computer and cant get my CLI to work. I have Excel macros that access CLI commands at C:\Program Files\Handbrake\HandbrakeCLI.exe which worked in the previous version . However the HandbrakeCLI.exe is missing in the 1.1.0. handbrake folder. Is it some where else...

Q&D Batch Converter Engine
This Batch converter was written with Excel VBA. It uses HandBrake to Batch convert directories recursively into a copy preserving the file structure and non video files. It only uses one user defined output setting for all files. (But you can tweak this if you want). It tracks and logs progress and...

Re: Blend Only Deinterlace
Thanks for your analysis, it is great to know the cause. I understand this is not a Handbrake problem and the fact that another product can deinterlace this file just happens to be a lucky coincidence for me. Just to summarise how to avoid this problem for anyone searching in the future. The bad sca...

Re: Blend Only Deinterlace
Thanks but that did not work. Take a quick look at the log and if you see something obvious let me know. Otherwise don’t worry it is not your problem. And I now found the problem source and a workaround. Please Just let me know if I did manage to turn of YADIF in my test. I found the root source of ...

Blend Only Deinterlace
I need to deinterlace a large number of my old videos with Blend or Mean only . No yadaf. The Wiki Decomb page shows a Blend only option (#2) I just cant figure out from the description how to format the CLI '"--deinterlace" option to use this. How would I specify the dinterlace options to...

Re: Hardware for transcoding? (Can I get fast, cheap AND quality?)
I am glad I am not the only one seeing poor quality in the HW encoders. I have a Haswell . At the Best Speed and Balanced setting my videos have the same picture quality as the software encoder but once they start moving it get very irregular. At the Quality setting movement is ok but my file size i...

Re: SW vs HW Presets I am Confused
Thank you for the explanation. It is giving me a much better understanding of the complexity of this project. I was using the HW codec on my computer for speed but I have not been happy with the results. A very close look at my results shows clearer result from the SW codec even when comparing the S...

Re: SW vs HW Presets I am Confused
So what does the hardware 264 QSV Preset do? I cant find any explanation. It does not work like the software x264 preset that trades off speed for file size as well documented. If I set it to Slow (Quality) mode my file size blows up to a very large value regardless of the Constant Quality setting. ...

SW vs HW Presets I am Confused
I have been comparing SW H264 and HW H264 QSV Codecs for Speed and Resulting File size. The Preset settings seem to work the opposite for each of them The SW setting works as explained in the HB guides, the Slower the setting the Smaller file size you get with the Mid being a good compromise for qua...

Re: Hardware (qsv H264) Encoding MPEG4 with Deinterlace has not enough Sync Points to run
Yes fast does not work at all but the other three speeds still have the problem described above. Note the specific conditions. Now, you don't have to fix this for me. Only if you think it can cause other problems. After comparing HW and SW deinterlace in slower mode the SW seems to be just a bit cle...

Hardware (qsv H264) Encoding MPEG4 with Deinterlace has not enough Sync Points to run
If I transcode a MPEG 4 file using the Hardware (QSV H264) codec and try to deinterlace the file I get a “not enough to have 60 sync point(s) allocated” error causing the transcoding to fail. Problem is repeatable with file at 2 Scarry n Winter loose.mkv https://onedrive.live.com/redir.aspx?cid=327d...

All outputs marked as Progressive
I read that HB does not produce an Interleaved output. Is it intended it handle pass through transcoding of Interleaved data? When I do this the new interleaved video files are tagged as Progressive instead of Interleaved. This is just a question to verify what I have been seeing. I am converting al...

Re: Will encoding with HANDBRAKE damage the hard disk?
It may damage your processer if you batch transcode for hours. I converted about a few dozen old VHS files with a lot of deinterlacing . My i7 went 100% on all 8 threads. I stopped, made sure my fans filters were clean and watched that the temperature did not get too hot. I never seen my i7 work so ...

There has been a disagreement on the forum to whether this a bug or a feature request. Here is the information, you decide. I am trying to help you improve your application. Re: invalid PGC cell_playback table, skipping
Let me clarify again with more new information The original is not a disk The original has no copy protection The origin is an analog source converted to digital by Nero to VOB files. Let me reiterate. I am not ripping a disk I am creating a DVD (VOB files with chapters) from a VHS tape using Nero. Last step to convert to MKV with chapters for my media server.
