I'm running VLC 2.2.0 RC1. I don't think 2.1.5 has h.265 support.

Well, I'll be d*mned. I tried MPC-HC now and it works! How strange. I'll have to do some searching about what the problem with VLC and high-res h.265's are now...

The disc was decrypted with SlySoft AnyDVD and I was able to play the files just fine from the harddrive. I also tried to copy the entire disk with MakeMKV and encode it with Handbrake from the MKV but there was no difference.

Sorry, I was at work when I posted this without access to my home PC. Sorted.
Here's an image of what it looks like. I might add that I've ripped 30 DVDs with the same settings without any problems.

Compress Blu-Ray with H.265, garbled Video
Hi everyone, first post here! I've tried for a few days to compress Blade Runner 30th anniversary on blu-ray (1080p, VC-1 Codec) with H.265 and the video ends up garbled. And with garbled I mean grey-ish background and lots of blocks and freezes while watching any scenes that aren't white text on bl...
