Thanks to TedJ I brought the RetinaMBP in and they found some issues. Apple replaced the Logic Board and the Heat Sink (no charge). After I got it home I ran the test above again... and found much better results (I updated the original post). Thank you again for the help!

I updated the original post with the Apple Model... but I don't know where to pull the Order number from. The encode log for Computer 3 is below... unfortunately I can't get the log for Computer 4 because it was completed within the Guest Account and all the data gets erased when you log out (I did ...

Yeah, when I re-tested a couple of days ago and reposted above... Computer #2 (2012 Retina MacBook Pro) was running 10.9.5

Maybe I have a hardware issue... though I'm not sure how I can diagnose it (so I can get it repaired).

Maybe for the 2007 MacBook Pro... but it's disappointing that a fairly new computer (2012 Retina MacBook Pro) with good specs and running the latest OS available would perform almost as well (or poorly). I'm not sure how it works... but maybe it's the power of a desktop processor verse a laptop. And...
