Re: Lower-contrast video
I was playing the videos on both Windows Media Player (Windows 10) and VLC with the same lower-contrast effect. The "color space" explanation seems correct. For whomever reads this thread later, here is extra info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_space https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y...

Lower-contrast video
Any encoding with Handbrake results in a lower-contrast video, no matter what quality settings I use. On the same videos the DivX encoder loses no shade of colour. I am missing something or is Handbrake not up to the task? I am the only one with this problem??

Re: No presets loading. Impossible to use.
1. What the heck is a full exception? 2. That's not a reasonable approach. I didn't do anything magical to my computer nor did I go for funny settings. It's just the regular system. I am the only person who reported, most likely because I cared. Other users don't care or simply throw the defective s...

No presets loading. Impossible to use.
Versions 0.10.0 and 0.10.1 are a nightmare. Version 0.9.0 worked wonderfully, but the updated versions are useless since they cannot get past the point of loading presets. Error: ----- Failed to load built-in presets. Restarting HandBrake may resolve this issue System.Exception ------ Useless to say...

Re: Standard Definition High Definition Constant Quality Set
The explanation on the Help balloon is unclear, that is exactly why people will keep asking.
Where are those days where the Help environments were designed by smart analysts?
Today not even Google is capable of coherent Help.

Re: Standard Definition High Definition Constant Quality Set
Some replies, but no so clear. This is what I got: That CONSTANT QUALITY slider shows how much quality you lose during conversion. If it is 50, you lose a lot of quality (practically, you get an unusable video). If it is 0, you lose no quality, but the final video gets much larger. If the source is ...

Standard Definition High Definition Constant Quality Setting
The help balloon for Constat Quality settings says: "Lower values correspond to higher quality" "Suggested values are: 18 to 20 for Standard Definition and 20 to 23 for High Definition" Isn't there a contradiction? HD means better quality than SD, so the recommendation should be ...
