Re: [In Progress] MP4/M4V Audio Track Title Tags
actually, it seems it's the space after the comma that is the issue for my example... Yes, now it seems spaces are the problem. You're lucky you only need it in your last track. If you would have had a space after "English" in your first track, all the tracks would have shown up as "...

Re: [In Progress] MP4/M4V Audio Track Title Tags
Under "Audio" when you press "Show" and type in the Track Name for an audio track, that is what I am trying to get fixed so that it will display correctly in media players. It's interesting that if you have different languages, it may work. Well so far, I believe we have establis...

Re: [Implemented] MP4/M4V Audio Track Title Tags
In Win GUI 6422, all the audio track names still show up as "ACC". I bet they don't. I hope you don't gamble often then. The picture below clearly shows AAC for all track names. It does this in MPC-HC as well. The screenshot is actually of Episode I , since that is all I tested. It is alm...

Just letting you know that the problem still hasn't been fixed. In Win GUI 6422, all the audio track names still show up as "ACC".

Re: [Implemented] MP4/M4V Audio Track Title Tags
Using svn6362 64-bit Win GUI, this update has made it worse. Using the Star Wars example video above, now all the audio tracks are named "ACC".

Re: reset prefs
Incoming... HandBrake Lite, with no user configurable settings. Simply click on your device, and your videos will be magically converted in to great looking video that plays on your device. Lol. I bet if they charged for this, people would buy it. There is so much crap software out there.

Re: Better Quicksync defaults
You say the Youtube keyframe rate is 5, however, Youtube recommends the keyframe rate be 2 or lower. iTunes is 3-10 (depending on video). Blu-ray discs have a GOP of 12 (keyframe rate of .5). 10 is too long. If the options are between 10 and 1, I'll pick 1 for accurate scrubbing, but between 2 and 4...

Re: Add external audio tracks and constant bitrate
I would use tsMuxer to demux your audio track (I assume it's Dolby Digital) from your DVD rip. Then drag your Blu-ray rip and the .ac3 audio file into MKVMerge. You can deselect the Japanese audio. Reorder the tracks as you like. Adjust the audio track delay sync in milliseconds (under Format Specif...

Re: [Implemented] MP4/M4V Audio Track Title Tags
Alright, it sounds like there is nothing I can do. Once the comma bug is squashed, if you could give an update here, that would be great.
In the meantime, I will truncate the track names, e.g. Commentary with George Lucas... I'll keep a list of those videos so I can re-encode them later.

Re: ALAC 5.1 Audio
I know video with ALAC won't play on iDevices. I would have to demux the audio and video to get the audio only. If what Rodeo said about 5.1 ALAC being downmixed to stereo is true (I was thinking AirPlay, not phono plug), then I guess it is useless anyway. There is no way for me to try it since ther...

Re: [Implemented] MP4/M4V Audio Track Title Tags
Okay, so commas are valid then. I thought it was weird that a backslash would be allowed, but not a comma. You might want to try the preference option which makes the gui work direct with libhb instead of going through the cli. I looked all through Options > Preferences, and did not see anything lik...

Re: [Implemented] MP4/M4V Audio Track Title Tags
Okay, I have run into a problem. I think I know what the problem is, but I think HandBrake should account for it, or give you a tool tip of invalid characters and max character length. I was converting Star Wars: Episode VI to M4V so that it has 4 audio tracks (the two main ones and two commentaries...

ALAC 5.1 Audio
Add ALAC 5.1 as an option in audio conversion. I don't know of any software that can convert LPCM (WAV) 5.1, FLAC 5.1, DTS-HD MA 5.1, or Dolby TrueHD 5.1 to ALAC 5.1 for example. I know some software can convert FLAC 5.1 to ALAC 2.0, but not 5.1. It would be cool if HandBrake supported multichannel ...

Video Res, Add To Queue, Pagefile
I am running HandBrake-svn6239_x86_64-Win_GUI. When I load a 1080p video, sometimes the resolution is wrong. It's usually the first source video I load after starting the program. I have my preset set for source max size. For one video, the width said 816 instead of 1080. It recognized source correc...

Re: FDK-AAC anti bottle-neck
As long as your patch doesn't affect audio quality, I don't think it could hurt by submitting it to Fraunhofer. I think FDK-AAC sounds much richer than avcoder AAC.

Re: List Encode Time in Queue
It would be nice to have total encode time when finished. Also, it would be nice as the encode is going on to have the estimated total time required, something like 00:01:23/04:19:36. The first number is counting up, and the second number is the total estimated time needed for all videos. Because of...

Re: MP4/M4V Audio Track Title Tags
Awesome, I'm looking forward to it. Some re-encoding may soon be in order. I wish HandBrake did video passthrough so that I could remux the videos I have already encoded, but apparently from reading other feature requests, that is too complicated to implement. I will try to hold off on encoding M4V'...

Re: MP4/M4V Audio Track Title Tags
You found out that the MediaInfo Title tag is the trak.hdlr.name atom or handlerName, not the trak.udta.name atom or userDataName? You're right that MP4Box only changes the handlername and leaves the UserDataName blank. I found the definition GPAC gives for handler name: -name trackID=NAME : sets tr...

Re: MP4/M4V Audio Track Title Tags
Could you post an example command line for MP4Box that you use to add the title? I want to check that you are modifying the same mp4 atom that I am setting. I was using the MP4Box GUI, which I couldn't get to work right because it would not mux the chapter text file into M4Vs. With Mp4ToMkv, it nam...

[In Progress] MP4/M4V Audio Track Title Tags
I would like whatever you type in as the audio track name to become the track title in the video file's tag data. Title is the tag that appears in MediaInfo. Handbrake does not currently write a title tag. Right now, the only way to do it that I know of is to remux the file with MP4Box or some front...
