Just add my support for this to hopefully to be added in a release sometime down the line!
E-AC3 is streets ahead of standard AC3 for the additional streams it can support and the higher bitrates.

You could always uncheck 'auto-cropping', run HB and see what you get.

Re: Compress Blu-Ray with H.265, garbled Video
Not sure if it helps, but when i was playing around with H.265, i tried to use an .MP4 container and VLC would flatout refuse to play it.
Used an .MKV and it played it perfectly.
So try an MKV

Re: Second's Timing
This is not a change in the "new release" (whatever that is); the seconds option has always gone to the nearest (or possibly next or previous, I forget) keyframe. It has never been second accurate unless your stream had a keyframe every second. Then why was the previous release no problem...

Second's Timing
So, you can tell Handbrake to encode a certain timeframe of a file in Chapters, frames or Seconds. But since the new release, ive noticed the seconds option is wholly inaccurate. Before, it would hit the exact second you set it too, but now, it at times can be as many as 3 seconds out, meaning you h...

Framerate Conversion
I was told the framerate conversion algorithm is very basic so i suggest a better one that doesn't cause stuttering when changing a lower framerate to a higher one (Such as 23.976 to 25)

23.976 to 25 FPS
Hi folks.
Im looking to convert some video files i have from 23.976 FPS to 25 FPS but when i do that with Handbrake, it causes a VERY noticeable stutter.
So my question is, can i convert the 23.976 file to 25 using Handbrake but without the stutter?
Many thanks

Thanks hugely. It worked.musicvid wrote:Actually, I think WinGUI still allows full vertical.
Anamorphic-none, maintain aspect, and raise the vertical to 1080.
Hope it hasn't changed recently.
I now have a file thats in the correct AR, it allowed me to go up to 1920.

1440x1080 to 1920x1080
So i have a file that i wish to convert from MKV to MP4. But the dimensions are 1440 x 1080 but has rectangle pixels and when i set the encode to go and then copy to disc, the AR is wrong and no ability to change the AR on the DVD player or TV. So, how do i get Handbrake to output the 1440 file to 1...

Re: Keep Getting Error When Starting
Looks like an issue with your presets file. Try deleting it and let HandBrake rebuild it on launch. https://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/Presets Hi, thanks for the tip. Only issue is, i did that and it started, but now, the UI looks like something from the early releases and i have to delete the preset f...
