I set the subtitle defaults to what I wanted, then saved the profile.
Interesting, my repo for Handbrake is missing from my configuration. Probably when I had to recover my system. Probably why I haven't seen a newer release.

I have a portable DVD player (one of those cheap OEM units sold under various names) that is supposed to be able to play MP4, AVI, etc files along with the DVD and VideoCD disks. The problem is, as usual, they speak of MP4, MPG, AVI, etc as "formats" rather than "container" files...
