Hmm, VP9 is supposedly 7% faster than H.265, or so I read somewhere. YouTube is actively converting most of their HD to it as we speak, starting with 4k videos, then 1080p, and then 720p, and then finally SD content. However, they do not have super computers, in fact, they have nothing more powerful...
