Re: 90 Degree to the right
Side data: displaymatrix: rotation of 90.00 degrees Apple devices ALWAYS record video in a single orientation, then set a flag on the file saying what is the correct orientation. Handbrake can see the rotation value (as noted in the log), but it does NOT, at the current time, AUTOMATICALLY apply th...

It appears to be working. The running time is shown and appears correct but the output file is tiny and the movie plays for a split second. "Best" Picture Settings?
As installed, HandBrake does a fine job of converting a DVD movie to an MP4 file. I introduced HandBrake to my son and he posed a question that I couldn't answer. "Is there a best picture setting" for watching on a large hi-def TV? I've never changed any settings so I thought I would throw...

Re: Dell Looking for Feedback Re: Windows 8.X
Woodstock: You saying version .1 being newer than .9 is NOT confusing? Not by any standard I ever heard of. And yes I would think that the point was significant. I've never seen any software follow your "rules". I don't get the logic and me with computer experience going back to the early ...

Re: Dell Looking for Feedback Re: Windows 8.X
Just tried another Windows 8.1 computer. Sees the source but does nothing.
Question: Why does the version number go from .9XXX to .1XXX? I would think it would go from .9xxx to 1.0XXX.

Handbrake Working With Windows 8?
Merry Christmas! Got a new Dell XPS Windows 8.1 computer. Installed Handbrake 9.9. It takes 115-19 tries to get it to scan the DVD drive and after scanning 23 titles it creates an output file with no video of about 1 minute and some seconds. I have Handbrake on a Windows 7 computer and it works flaw...

Movies Dnn't Complete Convert to MP4's
Out of 10 movies, about 3 or 4 of them convert completely. But the others just end like the one depicted by its activity log: Everything appears OK but the movies just aren't completed. Yet some are fine. Anybody have any idea why this is? HandBrake 0.9.9.5530 - 64bit Version OS: Microsoft Windows N...

Movie Not Completly Converted
Handbrake appears to convert a movie but only the first 15 minutes are actually converted. The program shows that it converted 1 hour and 40 minutes though. I deleted the installed program, downloaded the latest program and installed and tried again. Still appears to copy all but only copies about 1...
