Re: Can't Read Large MagicYUV 2.0rc1 Files
Release Candidate 2 was released a week or so ago for MagicYUV, and in the notes it says: 2.0.0rc2 Released: 2017.03.21. This is a bugfix release fixing issues with some recorder programs and BattlEye. FIX: Core: Added decoder checks against invalid data which caused the codec to crash. This happene...

Re: Stuttering while using detelecine
Here's a Diff of the two Encode Logs (TS file vs. Uncompressed AVI via Virtualdub): https://www.diffchecker.com/phb0tgkw The only things that really stand out to me are these lines: TS: sync: expecting 251 video frames AVI: sync: expecting 238 video frames And then later: TS: sync: got 240 frames, 2...

Re: Stuttering while using detelecine
Other steps I've tried without success: Tried the Nightly CLI build in HandBrakeCLI-20151227221722-1e56395-master-win-i686.zip QS Fix via VideoRedo Renaming the file to .mp4/.mpg to see if that would change the decoder Remuxing into an MKV container via MKVMerge The only one that has successfully al...

Re: Stuttering while using detelecine
Just a small update: I converted the TS file to a raw AVI in Virtualdub with no other processing, then ran it through my same Handbrake profile, and it managed to detelecine perfectly with no duplicate frames or stutters. So I'm thinking there's something wrong with how Handbrake is decoding the TS ...

Detelecine not working properly with some TS files
Please detail your question or problem in as much detail as possible: I'm having trouble using detelecine with 1080i 29.97 TS files from a Hauppauge Colossus 2 capture card. I'm creating high quality (crf 10) 720p 23.976 MKVs which I can then post process smaller snippets from at a later date witho...

Re: [Fixed] Cannot get Deinterlace/Decomb to save in Preset
It doesn't matter what the "Deinterlace" "Decomb" radio buttons are set to. The drop-down below decides whether it's "Off" or turned on with a given mode. The dropdown is correctly setting back and forth between presets. Ohh, that fixed it. That's my mistake for not re...

Re: Cannot get Deinterlace/Decomb to save in Preset
My fault for not specifying the OS in the original post. Assuming it's the same problem, if the fix could be applied to the Windows version as well that would be great.Rodeo wrote:That was a Mac fix, hence s55's question above.

Window 7 Professional, and yeah I have that checked.s55 wrote:What Operating System / Version are you running? I assume you did have the "Save Video FIlters" setting checked on the add preset dialog?

[Fixed] Cannot get Deinterlace/Decomb to save in Preset
Hey all, I'm using the nightly build on Handbrake and I've repeatedly tried to create new presets and save the Deinterlace/Decomb setting, but even when I choose my preset it just stays on whatever it was on last. So for example, if I click on a random preset like Universal and choose the Deinterlac...

Re: Creating a quality Inverse Telecined MP4 for Post Proces
One other quick question, currently it maxes out all 8 of my cores at 100%. Is there an easy way to limit it to only using, say, 7?

Re: Creating a quality Inverse Telecined MP4 for Post Proces
If I want to do a resize down to 720p and I do: --width 1280 --height 720 Is that using some sort of HandBrake internal resize algorithm, or does it just pass those arguments on to the x264 encoder's default resize? I ask because in the x264 Settings it indicates that I can specify which method, i.e...

Re: Creating a quality Inverse Telecined MP4 for Post Proces
FWIW, when I used av_mp4 I didn't get any audio. However, switching the container to MKV does seem to fix it. Not only is the audio in sync, but Media Info reports: Frame rate mode: Constant Frame rate: 23.976 fps So even though I'm specifying --cfr -r 23.976 it seems that the MKV container actually...

Re: Creating a quality Inverse Telecined MP4 for Post Proces
I remuxed the MP4 file in TMPGEnc, and it seems much better. I'm going to try the av_mp4 muxer Rodeo recommended and also try switching the container to mkv and see if that fixes anything.

Re: Creating a quality Inverse Telecined MP4 for Post Proces
I take back what I said about it being in sync in Virtualdub and VLC. It seems to get progressively more out of sync as it goes along. What am I missing?

Re: Creating a quality Inverse Telecined MP4 for Post Proces
After some quick Google researching, I'm not sure I understand how "edit lists" would get involved, but it does seem they often result in audio sync issues. After decoding the TiVo file KMTTG runs Video ReDo to do what they call a QS Fix, which is intentionally designed to correct the sync...

Creating a quality Inverse Telecined MP4 for Post Processing
Hey guys, I'm new to HandBrake, so bear with me if I'm missing something obvious. I've been transferring some files from my TiVo via KMTTG. They're 1920x1080 29.97 interlaced MPEG-2 files and I want to do an IVTC on them down to 23.976 while still maintaining the highest quality possible so I can pu...
