Ok fair enough ! MediaInfo did what I was looking for. Thanks for the tip ! :D I still guess it would be "cooler" to just copy/paste the xml into a plist (if it would be saved as part of the MP4 Atoms) as i.e. filter settings are not displayed in MediaInfo - but thats not such a big concer...

Request: Embed Encoding settings in output files

It would be great if there could be an option so Handbrake embeds the selected encoding settings directly in the output file (ie. as part of the mp4 atoms). In my current scenario I am converting all my BD and DVD disks (around 100) so I can play them on my AppleTV, iPhone, tablet and also computer....

Short update for the aTV3

Ref frames: 10

is better. With 13, 12, 11 you will get artifacts - even thouth rather rarely but you will get once in a while.

Hi I am new to this forum... :) Ref frames: 9 if the output size is 720 (as per H.264/MPEG4-AVC level 4.0 standard) Max B-Frames: 3 (this is largely arguable since this is a constraint from the blu-ray standard which probably doesn't apply to the Apple TV 3) Please experiment and share with everyone...
