https://postimg.org/image/3vhpwimmb/ is this what you're seeing? Well yes. Sometimes full 4 distinct messy lines, few seconds later 4 messy line exactly the same you posted. I am starting to think the fault might not lie solely with QSV engine itself. We got another person posting similar bug https...

Re: Intel QSV (H.264) Coding generates messy outputs
How am I suppose to send sample (10 - 16gb) with my slow adsl upload speed (512kbps)?
Sigh, I give up, might as use old version.

Re: Intel QSV (H.264) Coding generates messy outputs
ZeroCopy is also disabled for now. So extra overhead copying data in memory is probably part of it. So it's not going to do full path. Just QSV decode -> HandBrake Pipeline -> QSV Encode . Also note if you have any other filters on, they'll eat CPU as well. For example, decomb is on by default not ...

Re: Intel QSV (H.264) Coding generates messy outputs
To extend. The QSV Cropscale / deinterlace filters are current disabled and not used. These will hopefully be restored in a future 1.0.x version. Oh...Okay....nothing big about the QSV cropscale. But how about h264_qsv decoder? I can't seem to get qsv decoder working. (Reverting to previous version...

I also encounter the same problem with original poster ever since installing 1.0.0.0 . It happen with all my videos. Notice this section : [12:24:01] * video track [12:24:01] + decoder: h264_qsv and [12:24:01] + Crop and Scale (width=1920:height=1040:crop-top=22:crop-bottom=22:crop-left=0:crop-right...

Time to integrate x265 v1.9 stable into handbrake?
I notice handbrake nightly is still using x265 v1.8 as indicated at Timeline 01/18/16: Changeset 13e9b51 Luckily for us.....x265 v1.9 stable was released few days ago. https://bitbucket.org/multicoreware/x265/commits/925fc564a14aa04b6a1e19d1093ba08ece994385 http://x265.ru/en/x265-v-1-9/ Now, normall...

Re: NVENC Hardware Encoding for H264 and H265
To be honest though, AMD cpu + gpu users probably would like it if VCE support can be added. This is the only hardware encoder solution available for them.

Updating this thread a bit.....
So Rodeo....apparently libav already added support for Nvenc on 31 May 2015.

Enabling HEVC DXVA decoding?
Few days ago, our client sent the company several videos encoded with x265. Around 15-33gb each files with 2-3 hours max. The videos are merely 1080P. Now, our company PC mostly using low end Core I3 (Sandy bridge) and AMD (the Phenom + kabini?) products. Most editing software at the company can bar...

DXVA decoding + subtitle sync issue
Finally, DXVA decoding works its magic! Unfortunately, there is a bug on subtitle sync in dxva decoding mode. When DXVA decoding is used, the subtitle (which I check 'default' box) seem to be out of sync. Luckily, this doesnt happen when software decoding is used instead. (I dont think there is a ne...

Re: Nightly DXVA decoding broken
Actually, best quality isn't my priority. I prefer a balance between quality and speed. Example (transcoding 1280x720 h264 to 864x480 without opencl bicubic resizing. Lanczos3 being used); 1)If DXVA is being used, I could use x264 'Fast' preset and get 125fps while maxing 100% CPU utilization. A bal...

Re: Cannot see OpenCL checkbox on output settings
Perfect! I went to tools / options / video and disabled QuickSync decoding and my filters are working now. I did not see much of an impact on encoding speed after that, i'm very happy with the QSV encoding results, i think i found the sweet spot for my 1080p xavc s hd raw files. I appreciate everyo...

Re: Cannot see OpenCL checkbox on output settings
Well, just an update, i managed somehow to fix the quality issue, not sure which setting >) The quality seems okay but the levels of compression you can achieve without sacrificing quality using x264 is way superior than this codec from what i can tell, i guess at 75 fps encoding speed something ha...

Re: Cannot see OpenCL checkbox on output settings
Radeon R9 290X ? Not sure if I might break any forum rules.....but your GPU may support AMD VCE for transcoding purpose. Hardware based transcoder like Intel Quicksync. Except VCE is slower than Quicksync. http://bluesky23.yu-nagi.com/en/AsVideoConv.html Download the appropriate 32 or 64 bits. Next,...

Re: Nightly DXVA decoding broken
Huh? I just noticed when bicubic (opencl) is used, the output video is very pixelated, like literally. Several build ago, it was working fine. When switched back to lanczos, it is perfectly normal and smooth. EDIT: I think one of the user from this thread https://forum.handbrake.fr/viewtopic.php?f=6...

Nightly DXVA decoding broken
I'm not sure which svn revision borked the dxva decoding. I think the last revision where dxva decoding works was 6227. Cause the GPUZ reporting 0% utilization for every video I tried to convert. I am certain my videos is dxva specification compliant. Win64-GUI. Yes, the Enable DXVA decoding box is ...
