Detelecine and Deblock are both mostly not threaded and could be bottlenecks here. OMG, Thank YOUUUU! This has been bothering me for almost a year, and I couldn't figure out what it was. libavformat misdetects the duration of your source file, which it turn causes us to expect too many frames (based on duration and framerate) and explains the incorrect duration estimate.
