720 by xxx at 2500 kbps looks better than 640 by xxx at 2500 kbps on my 42 inch 720p panasonic

I don't see how that is wasted space

Using visualhubs iPod classics setting produces a much higher quality video than handbrakes ipods high rez setting with the bitrate at 2500

Would be cool if us users could donate money to the Handbrake project for this reason.

I have an iPod Classic i will experiment with a few setting and post back my findings

Handbrake is the best program of it's kind :)

Yes they are great for the older generation iPods

The new iPods are capable of much greater video quality

Just wondering if anyone has come up with a good setting for them

Select the ipod high rez preset, change the bite rate to 2500, then change it to 720px and type this under the advance tab keyint=300:keyint-min=30:bframes=0:cabac=0:ref=1:vbv-maxrate=2500:vbv-bufsize=2000:analyse=all:me=umh:subq=6:no-fast-pskip=1 Thats what i have done and it has copied to my iPod ...

OK, let me clear all this up I have a iPod 5G and iPod Classic. I select the High Rez preset in Handbrake i then up the bitrate to 2500 kbps i also change the resolution of the video to 720x400 the file that is created will play on both iPod classic and iPod 5G transfering them with iTunes The quali...

Yes i have tested those settings on an ipod classic and so far 3 dvds have worked perfectly I actually select the high rez preset in handbrake up the kbps to 2500 and change the resolution to 720x400 Plays on an ipod classic perfectly Transfered using itunes too Yes but... does it play with any fin...

The iPod nano and iPod classic support 720x400 now.

I was also able to get a 2.5Mbps file to play on the 5G iPod
