Re: H.265 QSV Encoder Fails with v. 1.3.2
The latest driver from intel (8280) seems to be crashing from me also, I had to install an older driver found on my motherboard driver page (26.20.100.7210), you could try one of the older intel driver to see if it works better.

Re: Missing QSV H.265 on Intel i9-9900k
Thanks, I did not know about that preferences.
I have enabled it now and I had to restart handbrake for the 'video codec' QSV option to show up.
But it is working now.

Re: Missing QSV H.265 on Intel i9-9900k
I have seen that topic, except that I have a laptop with the same Windows10 build with an older cpu i7-7600u and the option for QSV H.265 show up fine. But I have 100% confirmed yet that it is a cpu detection by putting an older cpu in my workstation.

Re: Intel QSV option not showing up for i7-8086k
I have uninstalled handbrake, deleted all my saved profile, re-installed handbrake and got back my QSV encoding options.
It must have been one of save settings that was in a corrupted state. So everything is fine now.

Re: Automatic croping broken in the latest nightly
I have checked the preview screen and 4 out of the 10 are heavily pixlated that is why the auto crop got disabled.
On the old nightly all the preview screen where clean.
Is there any adjustment for how the preview screen are made ?

Re: Automatic croping broken in the latest nightly
The main title is the 800.mpls and
the old nighlty build get an auto crop of: top:138, bottom:138, left:0, right:0
the new nightly build get an auto crop of: top:0, bottom:0, left:0, right: 0
I do not know how to read the log to figure where the crop detection went wrong.

Re: H.265 10-Bit (Intel QSV) does not compress
My original complaint was not about comparing 10-bit QSV against non-10-bit QSV.
It was about my original BD drive clone was about 40GB and 10-bit QSV mkv that Handbrake produce is also about 40GB.
Is that to be expected ?

Re: H.265 10-Bit (Intel QSV) does not compress
No I am not using MakeMKV, the whole BD is copied first to disk using AnyDVD then I use Handbrake to make an mkv. The only bit non standard is that I only Java9 installed. There is no problem using the handbrake with video codec 'H.265 (Intel QSV)' The video encoding parameter is slightly different:...

H.265 10-Bit (Intel QSV) does not compress
Description of problem or question I am using the nightly build of Handbrake and when I am using the video codec 'H.265 10-Bit (Intel QSV)' the output file is as large original disk. In my case it was a BD disk so the output mkv was 40GB. If I use the non 10-bit version 'H.265 (Intel QSV)' then it ...

Re: Selecting an explicit play list instead of Scan
So if you know that the play list file is: 00407.MPLS, what you put as the scan value ?
Do I have to count the number on MPLS and give its index.

Selecting an explicit play list instead of Scan
Some of the new blu-ray uses play list obfuscation with >300 of them.
If you know in advance which one to use, is there a way to tell handbrake to use that specific play list instead of handbrake scanning the whole disk ?
Thanks.
