Re: Green frames at start of output.
The nightly log also has that line. https://pastebin.com/raw/gYuzYj0H
Ok so if there's a line like that in the log the source file is definitely corrupt?
Thanks for your help Bradley.

Re: Green frames at start of output.
I see. There's a link to a sample in the Steps to reproduce section above. That's the output from VideoReDo before it's been through Handbrake, is that any good or do you need the original tv stream untouched by VideoReDo aswell?

Re: Green frames at start of output.
Just tried the latest nightly and no green frames :) So is the input corrupted somehow? I have noticed that line in the log before, most encodes display it but the green frames are relatively rare. The source file is created with VideoReDo and I took this issue to them first and they said it was a h...

Re: Highest quality decomb settings?
That is actually one of the threads I already read before posting here. It did nothing but confuse me, maybe I'm being stupid.
Can anyone explain the decomb option offered in the current handbrake and recommend the highest quality settings?

Thanks! Before I give it a read, is the information in that thread still relevant, or am I going to confuse myself further with out of date info?

Highest quality decomb settings?
Hi, I'm using decomb with preset and detection set to default but I'm reading that bob is better quality. Is that true? There are also a lot of other decomb options, which settings will give the best quality if speed is not a concern? I'm sure the documentation had some decomb info but it looks like...

Re: Setting in custom preset not taking
We are trying out some new design iterations. So it remains to be seen where we land. Discussions / concepts going on here https://github.com/HandBrake/HandBrake/issues/833 so feel free to chip in. Ok thanks will have a read. On a side note, next nightly it'll immediately apply the preset on select...

Re: Setting in custom preset not taking
Can confirm looks good here. Is the preset pane gone now? It's a right convoluted process to change between presets now. I like the new layout and the new rename preset option but I'm affraid the loss of the preset pane is a PITA. Before you just move the mouse and click a preset for it to load. Eas...

Re: How To Get HB With FDK-AAC + 10-Bit x265 v2.5 (Windows)
Thanks for this guide, had been putting of updateing since FDK-AAC had to be removed because avcodec isn't fit for purpose but this got me back in the game and was really easy thanks to your guide. Thank You and thanks to the HB devs for their continued work.

Setting in custom preset not taking
Please detail your question or problem in as much detail as possible: Decomb custom text box input is not saving to custom presets. After restarting HB and loading custom preset boxes are blank. Does Quicksync allow custom framerates now because you can choose one but it doesn't save just defaults ...

Re: Video card accelerated encoding?
Yes, but I wasn't sure if adding say an AMD card would speed it up further by using Bicubic or if there are other roptions that become available when a supported card is present in the system

Video card accelerated encoding?
Hi,
I do QSV and x264 encodes with 1080i source files and encoding to various resolutions. Can I get a bit more speed by getting a video card? If so roughly how much and which cards should I be looking to get for the most benefit?
Thanks for you help.

Yes. It's on my short-term TO-DO list; that being said, since i seem to fail at making any significant contributions lately, it really means medium-term… Ok mate, I'll hold out hope, thanks. Re: Is QuickSync decomb broken?
I suppose. Decomb with QSV decoding would be perfect though. Is there any chance of it happening at any point in the future do you think?

Re: Is QuickSync decomb broken?
That's really strange, I've been using QuickSync since july last year and have encodes that are deinterlaced, still have the source files too and they are interlaced. Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if this can be hooked up. If there are only minor issues in the way hopefully it won't cause you too...

Is QuickSync decomb broken?
When using QuickSync decomb doesn't work unless I disable QuickSync decoding. The encode completes but it's clearly still interlaced. This is in the log but I'm sure it used to work: removing unsupported filter 'Decomb' Full log below. I've tried handbrake 0.10.0 and latest nightly. Using the latest...

Re: Custon preset resolution breaks when updateing preset

Re: Custon preset resolution breaks when updateing preset
No because I don't want an Anamorphic encode. When I initially setup the custom preset and resolution settings I used None and the settings are applied correctly accept when I update the preset, even with all the resolution settings set the same.
