Re: Output file size much smaller with Sonoma
quality scale for 10bit finally works similarly to 8bit and won't create such overly large filesizes without lowering the CQ number considerably but that means retesting

detelecine glitching
Description of problem or question: use of detelecine with the current nightlies causes flickering glitches throughout the entire video such as these for two examples of many, whereas using 1.6.1 doesn't have this issue. Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable): using detelecine on SD NTSC te...

Detelecine dropping 2 frames in the beginning
Description of problem or question: Using detelecine drops 2 frames at the beginning causing a singular instance stutter, whereas using decomb/deinterlacing doesn't. I think it could go with the open detelecine issue on github but then I'd have to sign-up :P . Tried just cutting those few frames in...

... is the disc is properly decrypted? log says you don't have libdvdcss installed... but libdvdcss can provide only some basic decryption, or you can prerip with something like MakeMKV and use that for input instead

Re: Camcorder/AVCHD 1080i x264 encoding
... you're using hardware decode, decomb, and trying to preserve the interlacing :? something with those combinations of settings seems off to me... try disabling hardware decode, and for sure disable decomb if you want to preserve interlacing... otherwise, i'm not sure of what else to suggest... ot...

Re: convert mp4 to format compatible with LG TV
2. if not using anamorphic (which you should use if the source is DVD), remember to keep apsect ratio checked ;) i know TVs have various stretching options, but still :P 720x480@30fps / 720x576@25fps storage dimensions are the maximum, shouldn't mean the file won't play if it's not specifically thos...

Re: convert mp4 to format compatible with LG TV
manual says it supports .m4v :? shouldn't need to rename the extension... but it seems you'll have to use mpeg4 video along with either mp3 or ac3 audio... only supports up to dvd resolution, 720x480@30fps max/720x576@25fps max... if it's not playing, then you'll need to post the encode log from the...

you don't rename the .dll anymore, leave it as libdvdcss-2... if that doesn't work, refer to the above^

i like that limit threads by height thing :) but since i only have 2c/4t cpu, i most likely won't use enough threads for there to be an issue for the time being :P but this is assuming i actually know what happens when using too many threads, which i don't  i think the suggested threads=(height...

have you tried without the colon? :? i know :threads=1 works fine for the wincli, but i'm just curious... as it isn't needed if you're specifying only one option... although, i'd find it funny if that was the problem  so it most likely won't :? also, you shouldn't be using bob if you're not wan...

Re: DTS being downmixed to 2 channel AC3, why?
WinGUI doesn't allow setting the fallback bitrate/mixdown currently, so nothing you can do as of yet in that regard... so when loading sources with DTS audio you have to manually specify AC3 instead of AC3 Passthru... which, if you don't have that many sources with DTS audio, shouldn't be that bothe...
