Zero Cell Fix in Windows
I posted this in the Support forum, but thought it might be more helpful here. I have tried the following fix on two movies that had zero cell issues: The Prestige and Rocky Balboa. Handbrake couldn't rip either of them, until I followed these steps (all programs below are free): 1. Used RipItForMe ...

Update on Windows Fix
I just wanted to give an update on a fix (on the PC) I posted earlier that worked once. The fix has worked successfully on two movies that had zero cell problems, and I think it's safe to say it will work for anyone else. 1. Used RipItForMe (and DVD Decrypter) to put the VOB files for the movie on m...

Sound Cards
Has anyone tried a decent external soundcard to go with a laptop with which I can play my Handbrake created files through a digital output (TOSLINK) cable to my 5.1 Receiver? Turtle Beach has some interesting USB key size soundcards and a couple that are the size of a pager that either allow Dobly o...

AC3 Causing Me Problems
I usually rip my movies with mpeg video and AAC audio, but I started trying AC3 because people seem to prefer it. I tried ripping a movie like I usually do, except using AC3 instead of AAC, and it wouldn't play in Quicktime. It also encoded a lot faster than my movies usually do. I then tried the sa...

5.1 Audio Question
Once 5.1 is implemented in the next version of Handbrake, how can this best be utilized? If I encode DVDs to mp4 (with 5.1 sound), what is the best way to watch these movies from iTunes through my receiver and therefore get 5.1 sound? Can the iPod put out 5.1 sound? I just don't know how to get 5.1 ...

Might Have a Solution for Windows & Zero Cell
THIS IS A POSSIBLE FIX FOR ZERO CELL ISSUES ON PC: I couldn't get The Prestige (good movie by the way) to rip, and I'm pretty sure it was a Zero Cell issue. I kept messing around with things, and I finally got it to work. 1. Used RipItForMe (and DVD Decrypter) to put the VOB files for the movie on ...
