This ended up being a great solution for me on Gentoo. makemkv-1.8.0-r1 did a great job getting the data off of the disc and HandBrake, as always, did a good conversion.

Well, it did find that title 1 is the root title on the disc. There's a good chance this is the correct title and something is just going wrong during the encode. Title 86 is a mess. It's long enough, but it appears the chapters are out of order! The credits are in the middle of the movie!

No idea what's wrong here. If this is a real bug in Handbrake then I'd like to learn how and where to report it. I hope it's not that dire though.
