So why have the 10bit output in the first place?
Also, forgot to mention, I tried using 8bit output and I still get the same fps.

Hey, I've tried encoding numerous BR 10Bit files (MKVs) using the following: H265 10 Bit Avg Bitrate 15500KB (Single pass) VBR Encoder tune - none Encoder Profile - High Encoder lvl - 4.1 Audio - pass-through No Filters I keep on getting very poor results 0 starts off somewhere @ 12FPS but averages ...

Not being able to open up more then one thread should answer the question, mainly it settles with the fact that I'm getting the same speed with 2 entirely different cpus.
Is there a way to open more then one instance of handbrake in mac to encode two movies at once?

Hi! I've been trying to encode HD movies on my mac for some time now, I've tried with OS X 10.6 and 10.7 though the problem is the same: when encoding an MKV file (i haven't got anything else to try on) into m4v file H.264 style the encoding starts off very fast (18FPS~) then in a matter of minutes ...
