Yeah it looks like it's a folder acting like a file that basically has a website in it....
Defiantly not something that you would want in handbrake......
It would have to be an external program to create those....

iTunes Extra....
Has anyone gotten one of the new iTunes Extra movies? It looks like they have made a way to pack a menu, extras and the main movie into one file... so they play like a dvd.... I know people will ask for this feature once it becomes more widely know about. Any ideas how they are doing it? I might buy...

Well then wouldn't the external drive from fastmac.com work fine? Becuase it CAN write to cd's and dvd's, and it's only $109!

Re: Chrome OS?
Yeah from what I understand they are building everything from the ground up. I'm really liking the fact that it's going to be all open source, So in all honesty wouldn't it be possible to integrate something like handbrake into the actual OS as something like an extension?

Chrome OS?
I know this is in the future and this might not be the right thread, but what are the developers thoughts on porting handbrake over to / integrating it into the chrome OS?

Re: 64 Bit Macintosh App - Prepare for snow leopard
Ok, fine, i give up. All i wanted is a 64 bit HB application. I should have made a better excuse to ask for one. You guys argue too much. if you HAVE a copy of 10.6 you should know how to build from source with xcode, get the svn and build the 64 bit version. If you don't know how to do that where ...

1st, Thank you so much for a great tool. You guys have been working hard to deliver a great product for us all and it just gets better and better. I am really enjoying how easy you made it with the Universal setting for me to have movies that will play just fine on my iPhone, and beautifully on my ...

okay virgins, take it easy. I'm sorry I don't have the time that you clearly do, what with living in your parent's basements, trading Magic cards and watching Star Trek. I see that my intellect is not what yours is. I guess I simply don't have the intelligence to know that the idea of a good time i...

And I don't see why the developers have to go through so much trouble answering stupid questions. Thanks for the stupidity, baka. Wasn't necessary.

Use Presets, read the documentation. It's simple if you read first.

MP4ERROR: MP4Open: failed: Permission denied GUI ERROR dialog: muxmp4.c: MP4Create failed! GUI ERROR dialog: Failed to write to output file, disk full? Re: External HD or Internal HD for files
Basically you have to look at how much information is being written and how fast it is being written. USB Writes in packets at the speed of 480 Mbits/s (usb 2.0) or 12 Mbits/s (usb 1.1) Firewire Writes data as a continuous stream of 400 Mbits/s (firewire 400) or 786.432 Mbits/s (firewire 800) SATA c...

Re: External HD or Internal HD for files
It really depends on how your external is connected. USB is sloooooooow, firewire 400 is fast, firewire 800 is amazingly fast. So that is a big contributing factor. Is your internal PATA or SATA? Also a factor. Basically we need more information. <edit> Wow I should re-read stuff.... OK the usb is s...

Re: Full Screen DVD is ripping into 4:3?
My advice, Just leave it as is. I have ALOT of 4:3 stuff (old anime and such) that I play on my Apple TV, and you really don't notice it as your watching, at least I don't. I personally think you should always leave source material alone and not mess with the AR. But hey thats me, not you.

Add the ability to run scripts after encoding finishes....
I t would be nice to be able to set up that after an encode is finished we have the option to run an automator or apple script. I have a weird problem where files self destruct after I encode them... and i found if I make a copy of the file in a separate directory They don't self destruct. So I wrot...
