Re: 4K Encoding Question

You have pretty much answered your own question. I would guess TWM might be grainy as it’s obviously an old film. LOTR is obviously more modern and cleaner film. You might also have less cropping on TWM but without a log it’s hard to tell. Some people remove the grain via filters but some people pre...

Re: No ÆØÅ æøå in the Norwegian subtitles...

Update to the latest version supported by your OS and see if that helps:

https://handbrake.fr/docs/en/1.7.0/tech ... ments.html

Then post your log here, or somewhere that doesn’t require a login, if you have any issues.

Just out of curiosity do you have the same issues with x265 or hardware encoding?

Re: Handbrake Stopped Working Reliably

First try the latest version and install it normally.

I would try other encoders, maybe some of the hardware ones and see if you have the same issue.

Re: CLI only transcode first Episode

Well I have learned in the world of DVDs, there is no such thing as an episode ! Only Chapters and Titles. Adding --chapters "1-9" to the previous command line did not change the results. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jpEGEii3u6oGdaX8RHQNntCAJq_hWFGa/view?usp=sharing So what does --cha...

Re: CLI only transcode first Episode

Try ripping the disk to mkv files then encode each one with handbrake.

Makemkv created a .iso file. Feed that into HandBrake (GUI). Same results.
Can you please post your log for this.

Re: Cannot load nvEncodeAPI64.dll

Libdvdcss is not recommended because of the situations you are seeing. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

If you want to keep using it, go for it. Just don’t expect much help if you do.

As posted above it’s recommended you use a proper ripper like makemkv.

Re: Replica DVD creation

If you want just a copy of the DVD just use makemkv to create a mkv file, this will give you an exact copy of your DVD. If you need to compress a file to a certain size then you need a bitrate calculator to calculate what your video and audio bitrates will need to be. You can find bitrate calculator...

Yes, try it to your desktop on the C:

Re: Is this speed is normal? [NEWBIE]

A few guy told me who are using the same server from the same provider, they can go up to 3min / movie. Is it possible with this hardware somehow? I cannot find a solution to that. Thank you. For super fast encodes they are probably using a hardware encoder: https://handbrake.fr/docs/en/1.7.0/techn...
