Re: HandBrake 0.9.8 Released

Nope, you'd still have to remux with mkvmerge, AFAIK. Thanks for your answer, I realise the MKV standard is complex and you're not the only party involved. Personally I don't understand anything of it, I'm just extremely thankful someone who has a clue is taking care of business. Thank you for what...

Re: HandBrake 0.9.8 Released

Very excited to see a new release! I don't own a WD device myself but for all I know, I might in the future. Clean question, is the WD problem resolved? Sincere thanks, Rodeo, many many many thanks for your efforts and the others on the team, they are REALLY appreciated. In the end, what's important...

DVD to MKV - beginner's Guide / FAQ

This simplified guide / FAQ applies to HandBrake 0.9.5. Make no mistake - DVD is yesterday. DVD was awesome when it first came, but the ONLY way it can compete with Blu-Ray is its vast selection of movies and TV series, some of which will never find their way to 1080p glory, and that's why it's sti...

Re: Which resolution is best?

I highly recommend Anamorphic: Strict with auto cropping, for both widescreen and 4:3 videos, as this will keep the original image size/aspect. If you go with anamorphic none, the picture of anamorphic titles will be smaller than the original since you're letterboxing the picture. I seriously doubt ...
