Re: "EEDI2 Bob" deinterlace filter

I can't seem to get above 30% cpu usage. Is the above mentioned fully multi-threaded in the pipeline? EDIT. here's a filter called "Interlace Detction", turn it off. There's a filter called "Deinterlace", set it to Decomb. The Decomb filter has presets, select "EEDI2 Bob" i mean, is this pipeline mu...

Re: NLMeans denoise filter

EEDI2 Is extremely slow.... but one day in hope we may get something like a yadifmod - NNEDI 3 combo "Fast, efficient and great quality for the speed that it runs at" Also it should be noted that there doesn't seem to be any (good) anti-bobbing filter used in handbrake to fix the awful issue that co...

Re: [Accepted] anymore news regadring NNEDI3 being ported

hi all, can anyone give me a possible combination that can give me similar results to the above combination.. so I'm looking for the following. De-interlace with 50fps option high quality, no regard to speed as I'm only doing DVD's resolution. I don't use bobbing as it's appalling, you can easily se...

Ho Ho Ho my friends.... "not him again", "i know i'm a bad penny", "and i just won't flush"? Another year, and another bump for a request of a combo of yadifmod+nnedi3. I have played with the Bobbing de-interlace (and no surprise, very dumb!!!), fixes the jerk effect granted "50 fps, of course it wo...

Re: AutoRotate Video

Auto rotation of the video is in the cli..... i would love to know what command line to use for that. I'm already aware of the "--Rotation=x" command, which i can get the GUI to pass over to the CLI, but getting Handbrake to automatically apply the correct rotation on the video depending on what rot...

Import Videos, Using space on C drive

When i import many small files, for quite sometime now, Handbrake uses a lot of space in the Temp Folder on my C drive, it even fills the entire drive up with no regards to storage space available, nor is there any warnings from handbrake about space restrictions. But this is the bizarre thing, if i...

AutoRotate Video

Mobile devices usually apply a rotation figure (MediaInfo shows this as Rotation = 90o for example) is there a way for Handbrake to apply an AutoRotate to the file to automatically apply a Rotate 4 to this kind of file, or better still, could handbrake preserve this Rotation information field, and w...

Re: Quicksync hardware not detected

I did one of the support ticket things to lucid around a few months ago when i realized that OpenCL (QSV Decoding) was going to go mainstream. They did actually respond and said they will look into it for the future. I'm sure this is something they could actually fix quite easy if they just turned t...

Re: Deinterlacing/Decombing problems(?)

these things usually have to be dealt with using Avisynth, which is way outside the scope of this topic. MeGUI will help a lot, with custom scripts you will have to make your self, or you could try http://www.digital-digest.com/software/Hybrid.html this has become very powerful, but the interface is...

Re: Deinterlacing/Decombing problems(?)

try doing deinterlace bob, the decomb ones has missed a few interlaced frames here and there (as it always does in my experience) and i noticed you didn't do Deinterlace Bob? if that doesn't work, then can you upload a small section of the original video if possible, i'll run it through MeGUI QTGMC ...

ok, thanks for the heads up, at least they have something that seems to be reproducible, hopefully will bring a faster fix to this issue. the marks on the wall, and around his cheek are definitely of a low quality, if i didn't know any better i would say the VC1 encoding introduced a few errors on t...

Re: Strange issue in Dark City?

it's a decoding error, this has come directly from the source after ripping the disk, (full rip didn't help either)

tried 3 different encodes, always same issue, there is some weirdness to the image, but nothing compared to the screenshot that was posted by the OP

Re: FYI: The "NORMAL" preset is FANTASTIC... and faster...

indeed it does, I would never use NORMAL pre-set for that reason, with the only exception maybe if doing a source > handheld device. But your half right, NORMAL is quicker, but i disagree with you regarding fantastic, when you start putting CRF/bitrate restraints on the encodes, the more advance opt...

this thread you may find useful, the info at the end is important as it ends with a good resolution. https://forum.handbrake.fr/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=25738 although this is for the MPEG4 (FFMPEG) encoding new in handbrake nightly, similar to Xvid encode (thankyou handbrake developers) if your MKV is ...

Re: decombing issue(???)

my advise is that decomb doesn't like this type of film, so don't use it, go manual, nightly version has BOB deinterlacing, although in my opinion not very good compared to some others out there (actually handbrake has quite some powerful ones too in fairness, however, most of them are way too SLOW ...
