Encoding with HB 0.9.8 I consistently get 6-7 fps encoding 1080p on the high profile setting, on 1.6GHz quad-core i7 processor. CPU temp sits at 85-93 degrees Celsius without problems. However, using SVN 5400 the encode starts off as fast but over time it always drops to 1-2 fps and even down to 0.3...

I use MPEG Streamclip for those videos. Would be nice if HB would support rotation one day.

Update : It has nothing to do with the subtitles; I tried again without any subs and it basically seems that Auto-passthru for DTS is broken! :( And it also happens if "DTS passthru" is selected, and also if it is the only audio track. I've just checked two other films I encoded with svn53...

You really need to modify this Auto-passthru feature. It seems pointless that the default setting is for it to re-encode AC3 (eg 448kbps) to a higher bitrate of AC3 (640kbps), without even warning the user.
