Re: Handbrakecli not able to produce aac 6ch audio
OK, I tried this using a windows 7 installation under Virtualbox. Result: HandBrakeCLI.exe is capable of producing aac 5.1 sound. This is in CONTRAST to the docs, but was kind of expected. Here is the command line: "C:\Program Files\Handbrake\HandBrakeCLI.exe" -i "\\VBOXSVR\home\df.mk...

Re: Handbrakecli not able to produce aac 6ch audio
The docs of HandBrakeCli actually say: -6, --mixdown <string> Format(s) for surround sound downmixing Separated by commas for more than one audio track. (mono/stereo/dpl1/dpl2/6ch, default: up to 6ch for ac3, up to dpl2 for other encoders) This suggests that HandBrakeCLI simply does not produce aac ...

Re: Handbrakecli not able to produce aac 6ch audio
Using
instead of
makes no difference.
Omitting the options
does also not change anything (with respect to the channel layout. The bitrate is changed in accordance to the -B flag).
Code: Select all
-D 0.0
instead of
Code: Select all
=D 0
Omitting the options
Code: Select all
-B 384 -R auto -D 0

Handbrakecli not able to produce aac 6ch audio
Hello, I am trying to produce aac 5.1 sound starting from a dts 5.1 source. This is no problem using the GUI of Handbrake on my mac osx 10.9 using Handbrake 0.9.9. Here is the log: https://gist.github.com/7576320 As you can see in line 162, the 6ch 5.1 configuration has been applied to the aac chann...

Parse -t0 output
Hello, I would like to use Handbrake in order to copy dvd's or blurays to mkv or m4v. I would like, in general, to copy all titles, all audio tracks, and all subtitle tracks. For all audio tracks, it would probably be best to conserve the original track and also reencode to dts. If I had all the inf...

Re: subtitles that can be displayed in quicktime/itunes ?
I see. I played around with subler, and I found out that the vobsub subtitles (which I do not want to loose as they are the ones that work nicest with mplayer/vlc) are actually lost when using subler. When importing the mkv, they appear as 3gpp subtitles. They do exist in mplayer, but they do not di...

Re: subtitles that can be displayed in quicktime/itunes ?
Thanks for this hint. Does that mean that I would have to rip all the subtitles, ocr them, and then link them back to the video? Are there not any "switchable" subtitles based on pictures that can be used in quicktime? How could I add the ripped/ocred subtitles to my final .m4v file withou...

subtitles that can be displayed in quicktime/itunes ?
Hello, I am running the following Handbrake versions (CLI and GUI, version 0.9.5 on an intel Macbook pro early 2008, handbrake-cli version 0.9.5ppa1-maverick1 on ubuntu maverick amd64). They all show the same behavior regarding subtitles I am going to describe now: My aim is to have a file that cont...

Re: possible bug in custom-anamorphic, pixel-aspect
Thanks a lot, you were completely right.
Mplayer reads the aspect ratio wrongly. Thanks for the hint. The mkv is in fact playing back nicely, sorry for the mixup.
I will just wait for the stable mplayer to be patched, up to then, I can live with the -aspect switch.

possible bug in custom-anamorphic, pixel-aspect
Hi, I have the following problem running Handbrake (CLI and GUI, version 0.9.5 on an intel Macbook pro early 2008, handbrake-cli version 0.9.5ppa1-maverick1 on ubuntu maverick amd64). All of these versions show the same behavior that might be a bug: I try to convert a dvd to a matroska file. The dvd...
