Re: Subtitles Always "Burned In" video

Nevermind I played around with settings and think that I've found one that works. Thanks again

Re: Subtitles Always "Burned In" video

I am indeed using MP4 because this is what is generally recommended to get high quality (virtually DVD quality) using the AppleTV2 + subtitle. Is there a similar quality I can achieve using a preset that uses matroska?

Subtitles Always "Burned In" video

Hi All, Running 6125svn (x86_64), I want subtitles but most definitely do not want them burned into videos. When I add subtitles now it has burned in checked and I can't uncheck it. Is this a bug? Running on ubuntu x86_64 This is a new problem - before I never had this issue and I could manually tur...

Re: Warning if DVD Fails to Fully Backup

Having some threshold seems reasonable. I mean if the devs (including you guys) are comfortable putting a % on the bottom, it seems reasonable that at least if a DVD doesn't reach 75%+ then it more likely than not didn't backup correctly. Then having an option where a user could change the threshold...

Re: Warning if DVD Fails to Fully Backup

sure - but this still requires another step. The green check mark in the queue should be applied only if 100% is successfully reached

Warning if DVD Fails to Fully Backup

Hi All, It would be really nice if a very prominent warning came up if a dvd failed to fully backup. There are many reasons why this can happen but the most notable with me is scratched dvd's. Sometimes it'll get as far as 70% and then fail if there is a scratch - if I don't catch that the file size...

Re: handbrake window behavior using eightenment

Just to add to this. Handbrake is also taking just under 30% of my CPU just being open, not running at all. I'm honestly not sure if it's Enlightenment, Bodhi, or Handbrake. I posted over on Bodhi forums and the main dev over there said it was a handbrake issue. If a developer could verify this here...

handbrake window behavior using eightenment

I'm not to sure how to describe this problem. it seems like the window is resizing multiple times a second on bodhi linux using enlightenment. The behavior has been repeated on multiple machines and happens every time. There is no other software that I'm aware of that has this problem so I'm relativ...

Enlightenment Systray + Handbrake

There is an issue with handbrake and the Enlightenment desktop environment (or Window Manager depending on who you ask). The issue is that when you minimize to the systray you are unable to bring handbrake back up by clicking on the icon in the systray. After talking with one of the lead developers ...

Re: Does Handbrake send anything to dbus?

honestly I'm still trying to figure out what the dev of Conky Clementine was talking about but here I asked him about adding a feature for conky, here was the convo: How hard would it be to implement a playlist length and percentage done? I think this would be a cool addition. Nice idea...but lookin...

Re: Laptop with Ubuntu 11.10 Shutting Down at 50% Encoding

Get a temp monitor up and see how hot you spike. I get to about 150F when I'm running Handbrake. Also check your BIOS to see if it has a low threshold for restarting. One last point is that on some laptops the cooling goo (not sure the name) that is near the CPU burns off and then your CPU gets hott...

Does Handbrake send anything to dbus?

I'm curious because if it does I am hoping to alter the conkyClementine script to instead report back handbrake status and then do a LUA script to match it. I know a bit unnecessary but thought it'd be a fun side project. If it does send anything to dbus, what info does it send?

Re: Auto Skip for Damaged CD's

It's not hanging, it's actually shutting down after it scans the titles. It's telling me there should be a log in my home folder but it's not showing up (telling me in ~/Handbrake.log), that file doesn't exist. The zero sectors don't really bother me as it usually ends up just a few seconds cut out ...

Re: Auto Skip for Damaged CD's

haha wow, would never have even thought of trying that ;) What I am finding is that some of the times that I use k9copy first, I am unable to open it with handbrake after. It's trying to open but then handbrake closes. I've found this to be a frequent issue, suspect it's a problem with k9 but not su...

Re: Indicator for "Finish and then Stop"

That's right, running it on a linux system. Even that warning I don't think is what I'm talking about though. More of a symbol that is always present on the queue list or somewhere so that you kind of have a visual even after pushing Ok on that dialog. Thanks for the input and not sure where to go f...

Re: Auto Skip for Damaged CD's

Thanks for the tips, k9copy seems to be doing the trick to get past the damaged areas and then using ghb to go from there. Agreed about worst case rent them. What do you use to polish your discs?

Re: Auto Skip for Damaged CD's

Log: http://pastebin.com/Un97PB2y I don't think this actually shows anything. I try to cancel handbrake quickly if I see that it drops down to <0.10 fps and I can hear my dvd rom struggling to read the drive. This particular one I let go for about 20 minutes before I canceled it because it was too d...

Re: Indicator for "Finish and then Stop"

If you pause it then it just pauses, it doesn't finish and then stop. Also there is no indicator in the queue, if you click STOP it asks how you would like to stop where you can say "finish current then stop", that's where I think there should be an indicator to let you know that after the...

Re: Auto Skip for Damaged CD's

I did this for awhile but found that I was having issues where handbrake wouldn't backup the full dvd/show when I did this. Plus of course then it's a two step process instead of a one step process, but maybe I'll try that again one of these days. I'm going to retry the dvd and get a log, I usually ...

Indicator for "Finish and then Stop"

I sometimes will queue multiple items when I'm backing up dvd's. At times I want to finish the current item and then stop (usually because I need to move my system or shut it down for one reason or another). It'd be good to have an indicator that the button was pushed and that it will stop after cur...

Auto Skip for Damaged CD's

Hi All, Last night I woke up around 3 in the morning to my computer running high and the dvd rom making a lot of noise. I realized that my backup of and older dvd that I have and started backing up at 11 was still going 4 hours later. It's a tv show so I had queued 4 episodes, it was on the 3rd afte...

Re: Combining Titles into One File

I've used kmvmerge and the output is usually not great (I can't remember if it was video or audio quality but something wasn't right). As for DVD2One, never used it but I'll try. Adding another step to the process seems a bit like a hassle but I don't know how difficult or how high the demand is for...

Combining Titles into One File

Hi All, This may already be possible but I can't figure out how. Combining multiple titles into one file would be a great feature (again if it's not already available). I just got a DVD that has a short in it that doesn't have any info on imdb (which I use to scrap using XBMC). Because of this I can...
