First off, I agree with the others that this is generally not a good idea as you're destroying the intended composition. Ran through about half a dozen of the problem discs and all of them successfully scanned with build 3654.

I'll be sure to let you know if I encounter another problematic disc, but it appears that this bug has been squashed.
