Using HB on Win XP. Copying (or ripping) DVD files to hard drive directory and than processing them. Mostly without problems. On two DVDs I encountered an odd problem. Both disks were not encrypted. I tried same process with each disk both from directly copied files and from "rips" by DVDD...

I have resolved the problem above by downgrading my .NET version! Essentially I removed service packs down to the original .NET 2.0.5 version. Handbrake install worked fine afterwards. But, this is not a good practice as SP's are there for a reason...
