handbrake only encodes one title at a time. if you want to encode all the titles on the disc, you have to select them individually and name them different files. in other words, you need to have handbrake create a different file for each episode. hope that helps.

this is exactly what i do. i have the original video_ts folders saved on my hard drive and then encode ipod versions so i can take them anywhere i go. i don't have a wireless setup yet that will allow me to stream movies (still on a g network), so my ipod is what i use to watch movies in my room. th...

bolt - i've got the same problem...i can rip it just fine with dvdfab, but can't get it to encode with handbrake. i've tried it several times using the ipod hi-rez preset and it hangs at the end of the encoding process and never finishes.

i've been encoding at 720w and 2500kbps for my ipod classic and it's been working very well. now, of course, if you're encoding a 4:3 movie, you need to drop down to 640w in order to stay within the macroblocks limit. itunes has been letting me transfer 720w and 2500kbps with no problems. i haven't ...

in order to help solve your first problem, can you be more specific about your settings? what version are you using? what operating system? are you specifying a height/width? etc... 2nd question probably has to do with chapter markers. handbrake must save a file with chapter markers in an .mkv conta...

alex- i don't think anyone really knows what causes this. i've had this happen on a couple of encodes, sat at 100% for a long time (hours) and when i exited out, the file was unplayable. a few times, i've tried it again and it worked the second time (or third). on some movies (like godfather) i've t...

I've never really used VCD's, but if I'm not mistaken they're just movie files stuck on a cd. You'll need a program that will convert one type of movie file to the type of movie file you're trying to create. Hope that helps.

this is most likely due to copy protection. try a forum search - it's been discussed several times.

shark - itunes uses quicktime to play videos. try downloading vlc media player (google it) and play it with that. then see if you're still having the same problems.

Glad you're liking DVDFab. I think it's a great program and it's nice to rip several movies to your hard drive and batch encode them. I think I've run into your same problem, though. Here's the scenario- I have 4 computers basically running around the clock encoding movies. I have an old Dell, and H...

original poster: look for a free program called dvdfab decrypter. use that to rip the dvd's to your hard drive. this will remove the encryption that is tripping handbrake up. then feed the files from your hard drive into handbrake and you'll be good to go. and you will freaking love this program.

yeah, i don't know too much about apple software (i'm guessing that's what streamclip is). media coder would be an option for windows users. i should have mentioned that. i always forget that most people on this forum are mac users.

just so everyone knows, another great option is media coder. search for it on google. it's a great free program (not as great as handbrake  ). you can queue multiple videos, set your output resolution and biterate. I use it for encoding all my high-quality apple tv movies to ipod format and it ...

hawkman - what resolution have you been able to play on your ipod? i tried to transfer my videos at 720x480 (2000kbps) using floola, but i wasn't able to play the files on the ipod. I've tried using the macroblocks rule (as with MPEG-4 video) and it's worked for me in the past, using floola. ie: 64...

if you're just going to watch them on your ipod, 320x240 should do just fine. if you want to hook it up to a tv, you might want to go up to 480x360. hawkman - what resolution have you been able to play on your ipod? i tried to transfer my videos at 720x480 (2000kbps) using floola, but i wasn't able ...

i don't know if anyone cares about this or not, but just to give you an update on what i've found out... right now, it looks like there are no players on the market that have the hardware to play movies encoded at that high quality. so what i've decided to do is to encode my high quality files a 2nd...

try checking your resolution - if you're ripping it to the native resolution (probably 720x480) you won't be able to play them on your ipod. they will, however play on iTunes and @TV.
