Re: Single loud POP at beginning of movie

mduell wrote: Tue Feb 21, 2017 4:27 pm Interesting, that version is also after the AAC regression. 0.10.3 was the last good AAC encoder.
I don't know then. I will stick with what works for now then.

Thank you for the help.

Re: Single loud POP at beginning of movie

I uninstalled the latest version of the software and went back to 0.10.5.0 and I don't have the problem.

Re: Single loud POP at beginning of movie

Ok so MP4's also have it. I have narrow it down to DTS audio to AAC set to stereo using some suggested setting from Rokoding website. samplerate set to Auto, DCR to 2.5 and Gain to 3. If i leave it at default dolby pro logic II or stereo with samplerate 48 i dont hear the issue. I also seem to be ge...

Re: Single loud POP at beginning of movie

This is rather odd. Does this also happen if you encode only the first chapter of the movie? Here is an encode of just 1m and it happens on it. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/233170/LOTR_1m_Test.mkv I'm going to try to encode the movie on a different computer and see if i still get the same th...

Re: Single loud POP at beginning of movie

mduell wrote: Sat Feb 18, 2017 11:26 pm Are you playing the DTS track or the AAC track?
Playing the AAC track.

I setup two tracks.

DTS to AAC and DTS to Auto-passthrough

I did some testing leaving only the AAC track has same issue. If I make an mp4 file instead i have no issue.

Single loud POP at beginning of movie

Please detail your question or problem in as much detail as possible: Taking blu-ray movies ripped with MakeMVK and reducing their file size with Handbrake still in mkv to use on my plex server. Some of the movies get a loud pop or tick! sound at the beginning. It happens once and that's it whether...

Re: I THINK I've selected two audio tracks but only get one after encoding

I was using previous version of Handbrake and selecting AC3-Passthru for DTS for secondary audio track.

Now with latest version getting same thing as above "dropping track".

Its DTS-ES, what should I pick in handbreak just "auto"?

Re: PS3 .mp4 Subtitle when multiple languages

If you use Foreign Audio Search, you want to check Forced Only. There's no good reason to uncheck it. Also, I think many people would want that as the default track, rather than the full subtitle track. So in the setup Foreign Audio Search should have Default & Force Only. All other languages a...

Re: PS3 .mp4 Subtitle when multiple languages

Foreign Audio Search is made for it. If it doesn't find any subtitle track that it thinks corresponds to foreign language segments, it will not include any, so it's safe to always use. switching over to .mkv file instead. I like to have primary language, secondary language. Is it good to add: Engli...

This worked, thank you.

Is there a way to know if a movie or TV show has such foreign subtitles that only come up sometimes?

Re: PS3 .mp4 Subtitle when multiple languages

You wont have to for the full movie. If the movie is from DVD, turn to the subtitles tab in handbrake and select "Foreign Audio Search" from the dropdown. Check the "burned in" option and click "Add". The foreign audio search will look at the subtitles for just the for...

PS3 .mp4 Subtitle when multiple languages

I converted a movie to .mp4 format to play it on the PS3. The movie has multiple languages but it's mostly english. So I started watching it and realized i was missing several things in the movie because i didn't see any subtitles and didn't understand the language. Do i have to force burn subtitles...

Re: How to join two DVD titles and make one MKV.

I tried mkvmerger and I lost CC information when using the append option. The best option I have found is using the built-in Windows vob combiner by using command line copy /b vts_01_1.vob + vts_01_2.vob + vts_01_3.vob + vts_01_4.vob new.vob Then opening the file on handbrake. But the resulting file...

How to join two DVD titles and make one MKV.

First I like the software a lot. Been playing with it for months and finally started to convert my DVD movies and TV show collection to .MKV’s. I hit a small snag on one documentary DVD that has one episode but it’s in two titles. When you open the DVD in Handbrake it shows two listings. When you pl...
