ok so this little blurb is being thrown around as the cure all for building the SVN in 2.5 on OS 10.5 'OK - so if you build with Xcode 2.5 on Leopard the binary is fine (on Leopard). You can do this with 'make' if you change the occurrences of 'xcodebuild' in the Makefile to $(XCODEBUILD) and then d...

That seems to have nailed it, much obliged. Nice to see a dev team for open source that's so quick to hammer out issues. I think this is the second issue I've had and both have been fixed within a day of posting.

Second source crashes Mac SVN 952

Whenever I try to open a second source HB crashes. Nothing comes up in the activity monitor in the second before the crash. This happens even after I've removed the build from my mac, including the plist file. It happens with different titles, and always happens when I try to open a second source. I...

Build revision 779 on OS X fails.

I suspect it's to do with the last revision made today, august 2 2007. I was able to successfully build revision 778 yesterday and all prior revisions. cd /Users/Glitch/HandBrake/macosx /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/DevToolsCore.framework/Resources/pbxcp -exclude .DS_Store -exclude CVS -exclude ...

you can rip Saw 3 and probably any other titles up there that "require" the next release of MTR. Here's how 1) get fairmount, it's free and part of the dvdremaster package. 2) insert DVD 3) open fairmount 4) run fairmounted disk through DTOX, removing zero cells. 5) run the output through ...

How are you encoding it?

Are you doing it from the DVD or did you rip it using MacTheRipper?

If it's from the DVD make sure the DVD isn't scratched up, and plays all the way through.

If it's from an MTR rip make sure the output plays all the way through.

ok, but I'd say 4 DVD drives is the extremely rare condition. And while I've got two myself that's only because I have a MacPro, and had a second drive that I could put in. Since that's only an option on the towers that Apple has released over the last few years I'd say one drive is the likely norm....

ah well, there is always the queuing factor with rips to the harddrive. That alone is worth it if you've got multiple DVDs to encode, pop 'em in MTR/DTOX them and slap 'em into Mediafork.

though you'll get a faster encode from the HDD than the DVD.
