Re: [Upstream] DNxHR-Support
I hate to resurrect an olde thread, but DNxHR is quickly becoming if not already the de facto standard in production for finishing UHD/4k films. It's what people use when exporting from Avid, from Premiere - and since Prores is officially dead on Windows - this trend will only continue, DNxHR is the...

Converting from DNxHD w/stills causes freezing/issues
Hi, I'm running into the same issue with DNxHD that I did here - https://forum.handbrake.fr/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=27196&hilit=prores. Essentially, I export with a Slate at the front (a still image), then footage. However Handbrake chokes on the slate and doesn't move beyond that. Updated info...

Re: Converting from ProRes causes freezing/issues
Also on one video, stills over video in background (image on upper video track before export), there was flickering. heres a zip, with the original file "ProRes-original.mov", a converted example of the slate hanging (the entire video becomes slate after conversion), and the custom preset ...

AC3 "Pass-thru" to DTS?
when encoding AC3 i see i have the option to "Pass-thru" to DTS.
I was under the impression that "Pass-thru" means to losslessly copy the stream from the DVD source to the video file. but how can you losslessly transcode to another lossy format?
does not compute.
