[snip] 1. In preferences, turn on Auto Naming (automatically uses the dvd name and title number for the output name, this avoids having to rename each title so HB doesnt overwrite your previous encode as they come off the queue). If Auto Naming includes both title and chapter number in the output n...

Re: AUDIO VOLUME adjustment and CHAPTER individual file crea
[snip] 2. [snip] create CHAPTERS TO INDIVIDUAL FILES . This would be a HUGE HUGE time-saver. Yes, the queuing allows one to get the job done to separate files, but it takes 3 or 4 mouse clicks and a filename edit, by hand add the chapters to the queue, each with their own unique filename. It is VER...

Re: 3 audio tracks, DTS, PCM, and AC3
Per below... I'm happy to loan the DVD to a developer so they can tell me what I (or HB) is doing wrong... Please advise. I just bought the DVD from Queen's "A Night At The Opera" ... The DVD features three audio tracks, DTS 5.1, PCM 24 bit stereo, and AC3 2-channel commentary (stereo). HB...

3 audio tracks, DTS, PCM, and AC3
I just bought the DVD from Queen's "A Night At The Opera" ... The DVD features three audio tracks, DTS 5.1, PCM 24 bit stereo, and AC3 2-channel commentary (stereo). HB with the iPod preset shows the PCM and AC3 channels (I didn't expect to be able to do anything useful with the DTS 5.1 au...

Any work being done for converting DTS encodings to AAC 5.1? Didn't see it in any of your use-cases, above, yet. Elsewhere someone asked where DTS is seen that AC3 is not also present. I just found a prime example: http://www.amazon.com/This-Binary-Universe-BT/dp/B000G8OZ16/sr=1-1/qid=1172719563/ref...

Does anyone know for sure that the Apple TV will play anything the source Mac can play? I suspect it might actually need some of the optional quick-time plugins / codecs loaded locally and I don't believe that Apple is going to allow folks to install anything on it. We could be in for a bit of a hic...

This isn't about whether a DVD has 2-channel or not. It's about when a DVD has DTS, there should be an option to include it in the output container. I'd place this request along-side the work that's being done to preserve Surround Sound... The AC3 pass thru we already have and the AAC 5.1 that's nea...

Correct me if I'm wrong, leon, but last time I tried a52codec, it output stereo audio, which makes QT+Perian+a52codec sub-optimal for a home theater.) You are quite right that the a52codec does not pass the AC3 out through to TOSLink. But at least I know my .avi file is encoded properly so that whe...

Excellent help, JbrJake! I'll definitely be giving Perian a try! So is there no known or forseable way to pass the MF encoded/passed-through 5.1 audio out my Mac's built-in TOSLink into my my receiver's TOSLink and still have it be interpreted as 5.1? The Griffin HW product is only known/forseable w...

Surround Sound (5.1, etc.)
I see the MF 0.8.0b1 release notes and also the feature request summary both assert that "5.1 AAC audio" is a standard feature. I'm struggling with how to verify that I'm getting 5.1 AAC audio into any output that MF 0.8.0b1 creates. I have tried both of these: AVI | AVC/H.264 Video / AC-3...

Okay, stands as a FEATURE REQUEST. It's very very annoying to have to change the path 60 times when setting up a queue for that many movies... My Desktop is NOT on the drive where there's ample space to output that much content. Adding the dynamic filename generation only solved half the battle, her...

Default output path
MediaFork 0.8.0b1 keeps reverting to a default output directory on my Desktop. Perhaps a bug? Otherwise, I have a feature request: Please add a preference to specify the default output directory (path portion leading up to the auto-generated filename). When someone changes the output directory porti...
