Best all around preset?

Hello, I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I was having trouble finding the exact way to word it that would bring up the answers I needed, so I hope you don't mind my asking it again... I'm wondering what the best preset, or perhaps unique settings, would be to export an m4v or mp4 vid...

Well I just downloaded 3.24 and at the risk of jynxing it, it seems to be working, I'm in the process of converting a DVD right now. It didn't take one second and say job done, so I'm hopeful it will work out. Whatever you changed seems to have done the trick. I did try giving HB Admin privilages on...

It seems to me that a lot of people are having a very similar problem, it's amazing to me that there's still no singular solution to the issue.

Newb question, how're you guys getting your mp4 videos from your machines to your 360's? I've got a PC running Vista, so I've been streaming music to my 360, but have had endless trouble getting video to stream since I'm not willing to reconvert anything to wmv for just this one application and the ...

Format that will work on iPod/Xbox 360?

What's the best way to make a format that will play well on a tv through itunes/xbox 360 and play fine on an iPod? I'm so sick and tired of converting files to a million different formats to work on my Archos/iPod/iTunes/360/PC/etc. It's exhausting. Luckily, they all seem to accept h264, it's just a...

I'm using the latest version, and the destination box is blank. I mean it's not even reading the dvd data from the get go when I select the source, so I don't know. It's wierd that it seems to be working fine for others but not for me. I guess I'll have to try and find an alternative to Handbrake, a...

Seems like that did something, I did see a little command prompt program show up on the taskbar for a split second and there's now a line of text in dvdinfo.dat.

"Missing output file name. Run /cygdrive/c/Program Files/Handbrake/hbcli --help for syntax."

No, I don't see a command prompt anywhere, it just stays on the "Reading DVD..." dialog box telling me it's reading disc data, and I should please click ok to continue, This process may take a moment.

I'm having the same problem, I'm running Vista however. I've downloaded both programs, when I open Handbreak I get the window to choose source, I browse to the CD and click ok and get the "Reading Disc Data...Please click OK to continue", so I click OK but nothing happens. It doesn't displ...
