Issue with Clash of the Titans (1981)

I'm having an issue with Clash of the Titans (1981) bluray. There are two possible titles that are the feature length of the movie - Title 13 and 14 at 1:57:56. Both encode and appear to complete without errors (from the screen) - but the resultant movie is only 41 minutes long. https://pclaypool.ho...

Question - Game of Thrones single episode problem

Hi Everyone. I seem to have a strange problem with a single episode of game of thrones season 3 Blu-Ray. First - all of the other episodes came out fine in Season 3. No problems playing on VLC (v 2.13), Windows Media Player (v 12.0.7601.1850) or XBMC on Ubuntu. S3 Episode 9 - I'm having some issues ...

Re: Any difference between Eac3to and Handbrake DTS to AC3?

I have found it didn't matter - I can tell no difference between EAC3to and handbrake when converting from DTS to AC3. The entire ripping process is faster using Handbrake's conversion - so that's what I went with.

Re: set subtitles to both forced and burned in but their mis

I use ClownBD to extract the subtitle tracks (SRT I think) - then BDSup2Sub to convert them to IDX. Then use mkvmerge to re-mux the audio, video, idx subtitles and chapters - Handbrake can see the subtitles in the merged mkv when finished and burn them in as needed. Use BDSup2Sub to extract forced o...

Any difference between Eac3to and Handbrake DTS to AC3?

Hi All. I know that you all aren't involved with Eac3To - but I was curious if anyone might now the answer to this. Is there any differences between Handbrake's method of converting DTS to AC3 versus what's in EAC3TO? I have no clue what EAC3to uses, but I guess handbrake uses the ffmpeg decoder whe...

Re: ToyStory3 Bluray (MKV) some strange artifacts

Hey Guys Confirmed another problem on this rip - however - I don't know the technical term for what I'm seeing. Within the first two minutes of the movie - there is a train scene with "Woody" and Mr Potato Head fighting on top of the train. In scenes where you can see the steam/smoke from ...

ToyStory3 Bluray (MKV) some strange artifacts

Hi Everyone. Noticed a small issue with my encode for Toy Story 3 (I still use the methods outlined here for Blu-ray encoding: https://forum.handbrake.fr/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16784) (Between the P and I in Pictures) https://tclaypool.homeserver.com/public_pictures/toystory3.jpg Here's my latest ...

Re: AppleTV Substitute

I was also in the "been here - done that" club with the apple tv. So disappointing that it only supports 720p. At the time - I was ripping all of my movies to m4v containers with handbrake and storing them on a 6 gb Windows Home Server (where I could also install itunes and have it running...

Re: Encoding TV episodes as a single title with chapters

lots of DVDs contain a single title that already includes all episodes on that DVD - pre-joined for you. Put the DVD through VLC player to determine the title number (or just pick the biggest (by time) title from the list.

Convert from mkv to m4v - unplayable file(s)

Hi Everyone... Got a strange problem here - I was testing out a new method to join multiple movie files this week and ran into a problem with 2 out of the 4 encodes. I used to use dvd2one to join multiple VOBs - and it worked ok - but I suspect it may have been trying to compress the final vob so it...

Win 7 / 0.95 / vobsub question

Is it possible to disable the automatic inclusion of the default language vobsub subtitle track in 0.95? Using a preset where I've saved the Foreign Audio Search track - every time I select a new title from a DVD - the track "auto-switches" back to English (VOBSUB).

I also found some long encode times on mkvs created from blu-rays that I didn't expect.
